October waved goodby with sunshine and warm tempereratures and we used the perfect weather for an extended hiking tour on the Wittedindsweg, a crest trail on the Wiehengebirge from Porta Westfalica in the East to the Osnabrück area in the West. Before the sun went down we visited the most interesting spots of the Eastern part of the trail.

Thanks a lot Guys, Appreciated that!

And Nice notes from everyone, Thx!

When people talk about macro, they mostly mention the flower, but we can find many small interesting subjects in nature, which will be beautiful. I like 35mm macro lenses because it is a wide-angle lens and I can have less blurry subject. When the focal length gets longer, the focus points gets more complex. That’s why people are using photo stacking. They take many pictures in different focus points and stack together with post processing software. Today I took this shot. Photography is fun. We need to walk and drive a few miles and find a better location even for macro photography.

Spot the two birds :)

For a change, this is a new (outside!) photo, taken just a few days ago at the wonderful Britzer Garten, one of Berlin's biggest and most beautiful public parks (please check my album for more "Britz bliss", if you like).

For better dynamic range, I've used exposure bracketing (three images), pre-processed the images in DXO PhotoLab (sharpness and DeepPrime denoising only), from which I directly went into HDR Efex Pro to combine the images. I'm trying to get away from the annual Adobe subscription, and combining images from an exposure bracketing series in HDR Efex instead of Lightroom is one step into that direction. Unfortunately, whenever I think I can finally leave Adobe behind for good they come up with improvements such as the new "supersize" function (now also available in LR), a ton of new presets for LR, and other interesting stuff (and I'm still used to the LR/PS workflow, and the layers in PS). Well, maybe I'll be ready next year ;)

Extra sliding was done in Color Efex, where I added some "Brilliance and Warmth" and a tiny bit of "Contrast Color Range".

Happy Sliders Sunday, Everyone, stay safe and have a nice week ahead!

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

A Common stork often seen in fields, grasslands and in dry lakebeds and easily identified by its black body and white neck. They are resident birds in the country and can be seen throughout the year.

The colors of the bird are quite interesting and the wings and head feathers are iridescent. They are pretty tall around 80-90 cms and taller compared to the other herons / storks we have here. The birds are seen in small groups, though they forage alone like this one.

We sighted this in a grassland and the rains made the landscape very beautiful. These large storks were hunting for insects in the semi wet ground and seemed quite successful in getting a good meal.

Thanks in advance for your views and feedback. Much appreciated.

I’m trying to learn to take interesting photos with Point and Shoot cameras, and my iPhone. A wonderful photographer told me that great photos can be taken on almost any camera. I want to spend time learning how to do that…

Red is such an interesting color to correlate with emotion, because it's on both ends of the spectrum. On one end you have happiness, falling in love, infatuation with someone, passion, all that. On the other end, you've got obsession, jealousy, danger, fear, anger and frustration.

An interesting effect with this water pattern on stainless steel kitchen sink...the light from a nearby window reflects blue off the stainless steel which makes it appear as if the blue side is the water

On the way to Fáskrúðsfjörður, located on the same-named fjord, lies between Reyðarfjörður and Stöðvarfjörður. It is one of the easternmost settlements of Iceland. Fáskrúðsfjörður was home to a hospital founded to serve French fishermen working here until 1935. But I was more admiring the fjord’s natural beauty.
