Hemingway rented a room on Rue Descartes in which he wrote. It was a two-minute walk. Rue du Cardinal Lemoine is just behind me here, Rue Descartes is ahead on the right.

Interconnecting box, radio adapter. This is from the Clansman system (which replaced Larkspur from the late 1970's) and allows for a Clansman vehicle (VRC) or personal/manpack (PRC) radio to be connected into a Larkspur harness. It can also provide intercom if required (most Larkspur sets had the intercom amplifier built into the set while Clansman has it built into the harness).
