The game plan changed. Original intentions was to shoot the scenic Hartwell Railroad on this day with their fleet of "heritage" units. They would be running, but a wait for the 11 o'clock start time was just to much to endure. That's when my back-up plan of shooting the Pickens was decided upon. The last time I shot the Pickens, it was on different rails, and it was with blue Baldwin locomotives. In it's "new" territory, the line has been covered extensively to all ends. That's one reason why it was "second choice" on this day. Now I know why so many venture to the green pumpkins of South Carolina. What a great little railroad it is! Just the sound of the barking little GE's pulling the grade here at Campbell, SC is worth the price of the ticket!

The door was held closed by a block of cement, so I decided somebody wanted me to enter.

Trotters is an unincorporated community in Golden Valley County, North Dakota, United States. Trotters is located on North Dakota Highway 16, 28.3 miles (45.5 km) north of Beach. The community did not receive telephone service until 1972, and Highway 16, its only road, was paved in the 1980s.
Leonard Hall, who moved to Trotters in 1956, was the town's only resident for much of the twentieth century. Hall was the postmaster of the Trotters post office, which opened in 1904[3] and served area ranchers as far as 28 miles (45 km) away from Trotters, as few other post offices operated in the region.[5] The post office also served as the town's grocery store and gas station, and Hall lived in the back of the building. Two other buildings, a disused church and an empty abandoned structure, also stood in the town.[6] The post office closed in 1995 when Hall's poor health caused him to retire as postmaster.

Wheels & Tyres !
So for this week's challenge I went through all sorts of wheels for one reason or another I could not get to capture or were not quite right . In the first comment box are a few that failed .
I thought of the waterwheel from my recent mill capture ,
Tried for the undercarriage of low flying light aircraft
A Cannon wheel ( one that shoots shells not pictures )
But in the end I settled for this one ( and one that Ruth might recognise ) ---------
A Canon Wheel - on a Canon that does shoot pictures !!
This is on the front of my Canon G1 X mk !!! camera , it is the adjusting wheel to change settings according to what mode you are set in . For example when in "Tv" it will alter the speed , when in "A" it will alter the f stop or it will adjust the iso when required and so on .
To get the shot I used the 77D with the Sigma 105mm Macro which is such a brilliant lens it has shown up all the dusty bits and that is after I had given the little camera a dust off as well !!

Yeah, yeah that Stockton bound ethanol train with the Canadian National and BCOL Sandwich was milling around the old Western Pacific the very same afternoon that I was wandering around aimlessly in Yuba County. However due to the train not being to at least Pulga with the clock nearing 5pm/17 hundred and afternoon shot at Oroville was looking more like a dusk or even dark shot, making this Vancouver, Washington to Fresno, California high priority Junker at Ellis Road the last catch of my afternoon wanderings.
