The result of some messing about this morning. I found a patch of colour amongst the turning leaves of a stand of Beech trees and took a few shots whilst zooming out from 24mm to 70mm. Most of this effect was achieved 'in camera.' I just boosted the saturation in Lightroom.
Mad Bess was the wife of an C18th gamekeeper, a demented old woman who prowled these woods at night looking for poachers.
The theme today is "intentional blur",
easier said than done with a macro 3" restriction.
I tried lots of different ideas,
a Mersenne prime of failed attempts later...
(tiny toy top is about 2 inches tall)
