There's a well known saying: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions". The point is that procrastination can easily lead to us never doing what we know must be done.
It has a useful application to many aspects of our lives. But the most vital of all must surely be the question of our eternal destination.
The Bible warns:
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.
(Isaiah 55:6)
Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
(2nd Corinthians 6:2)
Procrastination on this point will, quite literally, keep us on the road to hell.
