9/12/16 ***NO REPRO FEE*** Conor Byrne, Nathan Pratt and Nathan Allgood from Kilbride National School with their project on Renewable Energy pictured at the Mini Scientist Regional Final which took place on Thursday and Friday at the Intel Ireland site in Leixlip. 78 schools from across the region competed for a place in the grand final which will take place on February the 3rd at the Helix, Dublin. Over the two days, 18 projects were selected to go forward to the next stage. The Intel Mini Scientist Exhibition is a competition for Primary school students in which they develop science related projects which are exhibited at fairs within their own schools. This year, over 6,000 students participated in Mini Scientist from 14 different counties with over 100 different schools taking part. Pic: Marc O'Sullivan
