Intel Shannon celebrated its annual Scholarship awards event recognising 32 recipients of both the Women in Technology scholarship and Paul Whelan memorial scholarship. The Women in Technology scholarship programme now in its 14th year has an alumni of nearly 60 scholars who are pursuing careers in technology. The program forms part of a wider focus by Intel on empowering girls and women by fostering educational opportunities and encouraging women to participate, prosper, and lead in the global economy. The Paul Whelan memorial scholarship awarded to University of Limerick students is awarded to students who are passionate about technology and engineering.
