In Chagrin Falls, if you drop or lose something, you're bound to have it returned by some kind soul. People will pick it up and hang it on a tree branch of one of the closest trees that line the streets. It's very common, and it astounds me every time. I've seen a stunning fur scarf hanging on a branch, waiting patiently for it's owner to return. It remained there all day before it disappeared. I trust that if the owner didn't recover it, someone eventually took it down to the police station, which is just around the corner. My daughter dropped her wallet, filled with cash (and fortunately a school i.d.) Our neighbor returned it to us, explaining that there was a woman on the sidewalk, calling out Callie's name, asking if anyone dropped it. They all said "no", when eventually my neighbor said, "She lives next door to me, if you'd like, I can return it to her." And she did. I've had someone return a Starbucks gift card of mine, worth $50! I've also been able to return the kindness by returning a pay check one time, then a credit card to their owners!

From two to one to two again, these cables stay true to each other and themselves. Each strand faithfully returns to its beginnings after exploring the expanse around it for a time.
