The castle is first mentioned in documents dated 1554. In 1614 it was converted into a hunting lodge. Kasteel Bouvigne borders on a beautiful garden. Nothing is known of landscape gardening in the16th century. The present garden is open to the public and integrates French, German and English styles of the 20th century. Bouvigne castle is a charming building outside Breda, in the Mastbos forest. Its present look dates mainly from the 17th century. For a long time, the princes of Orange used it as their summer house. The castle, that stands in the water, was built in a typical renaissance style. Its beautiful gardens are open to the public.

In the 10th century there was a moated castle on the site of the present castle, which was part of a reinforcement belt on the Scheldt. The cellar from the 15th century and the tower from the 16th century are the oldest remains. Wissekerke castle was one of the first neo-gothic castles in our country to integrate the former Empire elements. The castle has been redecorated and is primarily intended to reflect a time image of the early 19th century glory period of the Vilain XIIII family. In 1981 the castle, the impressive gatehouse, the old pigeon tower and the elegant suspension bridge over the park pond were protected as a monument. Two mapped walks lead you through the different rooms of the castle. During the one walk you follow the actions of the servants. During the other walk you will follow in the footsteps of the noble family.
Made of limestone ashlar, in good condition. It has a single dome, with double threaded mouth and thread fin stirrups. It has an impost consituida a highlighted row of blocks, and parapets above ground. Light from the bow, is 6.8 m.
Stresses the careful styling and factory homogeneity of stalls as well as integration into the environment.
There is a popular legend about the origin of this bridge, under which was built by the Knights of Isabella in one night. The queen was in campaign to conquer Baza and having left the morning of Quesada became night in the place where the bridge now stands. As the river was swollen by the rains fall and being impossible to wade, the Knights of the suite of Queen built this bridge that night.
Also note that throughout the night, the Knights shod horses backwards to confuse the direction of travel to coming chasing ememigos Queen.

Salt pans are a common sight in this region, since Tavira is so intertwined with the history of salt. The ancient technology adapted to the landscape of the Ria Formosa turns the salt pans into outdoors chemistry labs. These are an important and humanized environment for several species of birds and microscopic beings. For all these reasons we challenge you to integrate this visit. We guarantee you that you will not look at a crystal of salt the same way.

This is my first attempt at star trails using an ultra wide angle lens.
Each image was a two minute exposure at ISO 400 using a Rokinon 14mm lens mounted on my Canon EOS Ra. I left the lens aperture open at f/2.8 to reduce my exposure time because there was a lot of activity at this dark sky location. Using this method, I could selectively discard images in which a fellow astrophotographer or nature enthusiast inadvertently shone their flashlight or car lights into the trees.
Images were stacked and Lightness-blended using Photoshop. Total integration time was about 80 minutes.

The Flying Bat is the orange-ish (Hydrogen alpha) semicircle, and the Giant Squid is the blue (O-III) cylindrical object. The Bat was bright, and therefore easier to capture and process. The Squid, however, is just barely brighter than the Bortle 7 sky in my backyard, and was much more difficult to process. The stars were captured separately in RGB.

The Expiatory Church of the Sagrada Familia, known simply as the Sagrada Familia, is a Roman Catholic basilica in Barcelona, Spain, designed by architect Antoni Gaudí. Begun in 1882, it is still under construction (November 2016). It is Gaudí's masterpiece and the greatest exponent of Catalan modernist architecture.
The Sagrada Familia is a reflection of Gaudí's artistic plenitude: he worked on it for most of his professional career, but especially in his later years, where he reached the culmination of his naturalistic style, synthesizing all the solutions and styles he had tried up to that point. Gaudí achieved perfect harmony in the interrelationship between structural and ornamental elements, between plasticity and aesthetics, between function and form, between content and container, achieving the integration of all the arts into a structured and logical whole. The Sagrada Familia has a Latin cross plan, five central naves, a three-aisled transept, and an apse with seven chapels. It boasts three façades dedicated to the Birth, Passion, and Glory of Jesus. When completed, it will have 18 towers: four at each portal, making a total of twelve for the apostles, four over the transept invoking the evangelists, one over the apse dedicated to the Virgin, and the central dome tower in honor of Jesus, which will reach 172.5 meters in height. The temple will have two sacristies next to the apse and three large chapels: the Assumption Chapel in the apse and the Baptism and Penance Chapels next to the main façade. It will also be surrounded by a cloister designed for processions and to isolate the temple from the exterior. Gaudí applied a highly symbolic content to the Sagrada Familia, both in architecture and sculpture, dedicating each part of the temple to a religious significance.

This is a test image in Ha only on my first large-scale target after adding a 0.8x reducer to the Tele Vue NP101. It was captured in my Bortle 6 backyard with a nearly full moon in the sky, and under marginal transparency conditions. The purpose of this test image was to verify autoguiding, autofocus, and plate solving after changing the optical system from f/5.4 to f/4.3. This is a nearly full frame that is cropped only as necessary to remove staking artifacts.
My plan going forward is to capture narrowband in my back yard, and agument it with LRGB that is captured at a dark sky site.
Qty 15 subs x 300s each = 1:15 total integration time.

This week in 2007, the space shuttle Atlantis, mission STS-117, landed at Edwards Air Force Base following the completion of a successful 14-day mission to the International Space Station. The primary mission objective was to deliver the second and third starboard truss segments, S3 and S4, and another pair of solar arrays to the station. Today, the Payload Operations Integration Center at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center serves as "science central" for the space station, working 24/7, 365 days a year in support of the orbiting laboratory's scientific experiments. The NASA History Program is responsible for generating, disseminating, and preserving NASA’s remarkable history and providing a comprehensive understanding of the institutional, cultural, social, political, economic, technological and scientific aspects of NASA’s activities in aeronautics and space.
