Robe:

#1 RARE Long Robe (Male&Female) {egosumaii}

Glastonbury Abbey was a monastery in Glastonbury, Somerset, England. Its ruins, a grade I listed building and scheduled ancient monument, are open as a visitor attraction.

The abbey was founded in the 7th century and enlarged in the 10th. It was destroyed by a major fire in 1184 but subsequently rebuilt and by the 14th century was one of the richest and most powerful monasteries in England. The abbey controlled large tracts of surrounding land and was instrumental in major drainage projects on the Somerset Levels. The abbey was suppressed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under King Henry VIII of England. The last abbot, Richard Whiting (Whyting), was hanged, drawn and quartered as a traitor on Glastonbury Tor in 1539.

I have always found instrumentals and vocals and monotones to be so inspiring to me when I get ideas for photos on second life. But now seeing people oddly gives me inspiration to decorate a small place and take a picture of it, so this one is inspired by a very artistic friend of mines I call her Mag but yeah. It is inspired by her little Hufflepuff at Mischief Managed named Everlina, enough talk! I hope you guys in joy my little Book Nook!

The motif of the new garden is the Noh play "Hagoromo."

Noh is one of Japan’s traditional types of theater with more than 600 years of history.

In the story, a fisherman named Hakuryō finds a celestial robe (hagoromo) on the shore. He intends to keep it as a family heirloom, but the celestial maiden laments her inability to return to the celestial realm without her robe. Moved by her sorrow, Hakuryō sympathizes and agrees to return the robe in exchange for witnessing her celestial dance. Although the celestial maiden initially hesitates, fearing Hakuryō's doubt, she eventually returns to the heavens after performing her graceful dance, leaving behind blessings upon the land.

The garden's design draws inspiration from traditional Japanese paintings, aiming to represent two-dimensional elements in a three-dimensional space. It features representations of white clouds and waves, symbolizing the celestial realm and the waterside, respectively.

As I repeatedly reconstruct the garden to align with my vision, I sometimes doubt whether it truly conveys the warmth I intend. In moments of uncertainty, I find solace in the unwavering support and trust of AKI69, whose presence has been instrumental in the realization of this project. The beauty of the architecture, plants, and creatures within the garden constantly inspires and encourages me.

May this new garden become a testament to beauty, enriching your soul with its presence.

Looking forward to the enchanting presence of celestial beings in this garden where the worlds of the sea and sky intertwine without doubt.

Today I missed the direct train home from work and ended up taking a longer route.

None of the following is a complaint. I do, of course, fully understand the need for social distancing measures. I did though want to record how I felt on the journey.

It was a very strange experience: seats taped up ‘out of use’, hardly any passengers at rush hour, lengthy one way systems to navigate. It all felt like landing in a very different country, but with elements of familiarity. It was the most surreal journey I’ve ever made.

The picture was taken at York and shows 802218 with a Newcastle to Liverpool Lime Street service. To be fair, the TPE trains have clear but discrete social distancing signs in the form reservation type labels with a red and cross/green and tick to indicate where to sit.

Piano Through Glass!

This is SOOC with no cropping or software modification whatsoever. I considered cropping the right side of the image where the power outlet is but decided that maintaining the reflection continuity of the trees, lights and buildings off of the painting on the wall was more definitive.

This piano is on display for sale in a store in Winter Park, Fl. The shot was taken from the outside through the glass window showing the reflection of the building behind me and across the street. It's also showing trees and shrubs on the other side of the street as well as sunlight reflections shining directly off of the piano..

View LARGE or ORIGINAL if you have time..

The festival has begun, it is now time to relax, chill, unwind and let the soul stirring music engulf you. As you first walk into the festival you feel the laidback and free- spirited feeling come over you. From your tent, as you see others walking by, you see that fashion is prominent here, from the easy breezy boho look to the fashion trendsetters with their haute couture presence. The colourful fabrics are flowing with all showing their own personal style and trend. Whatever manner the participants chose to style in, one thing was obvious in all, fashion is key but so is comfort. As I continue to take in my surroundings, I am feeling pretty fortunate to have been invited to this festival. I am sure that I will make memories that will last a lifetime and I will be witness to such an extraordinary event that will be instrumental in conceding up and coming in the fashion movement.

Description of Buildings:

Gesu Church is a rectangular structure of structural steel, reinforced-concrete construction and features exterior walls covered with stucco.

An arcaded portico projects from the west façade of the church and is divided by four massive piers into three bays.

The piers and pilasters on the opposite wall rest

on cubical pedestals approximately nine feet high. A chamfered molding serves as a capital for each pier and is repeated, at the same level as a belt course

running completely around the building.

The central bay of the portico projects slightly, and its arch springs from two semi-engaged Doric columns, thus framing

the main entrance of the church.

Articulation of the west wall echoes the tripartite divisions of the portico with semicircular arched portals at each bay. Double doors of wood and glass are recessed within the portal and have dentilled transoms and cartouches above.

The north façade of the church features an elevated basement from which piers rise to the architrave above. Indented panels between the piers contain tall, semi-circular arched stained glass windows.

A tripartite tower complex embellishes the roof. The central tower which is square in plan, rises in a series of steps and contains a belfry with arched windows. Two hipped roof towers flank the central tower.

Gesu Rectory is located directly east of the church and is connected to it. This four story rectangular structure is of structural steel, reinforced concrete construction, and its exterior walls are covered with stucco. Its pedimented gable

roof is covered with Spanish tile.

The main entrance is located in the center bay of the north façade and features a double door with large lights. The majority of windows are three over one double

hung sash. Round arch windows grace the fourth floor.

Gesu School is located east of the rectory. The building is a five story rectangular structure of reinforced concrete construction covered with stucco. A flat roof with parapet tops the building and features a pediment above the main entrance.

The focal point of the building is a grand, three story portico on the north façade. Ionic columns support the portico and are repeated in pilasters separating each bay. The main entrance features a colossal semi-circular arch with double doors.

The Fathers of the Society of Jesus have been instrumental in the establishment of Gesù Catholic Church from its inception. Gesù Parish was established as a result of the large Catholic community present in Miami. The original wooden church was built on land donated by Henry Flagler, and as Miami began to grow the need for a larger Church became a necessity. In 1921, the first cornerstone of this concrete and steel structure was laid to suit the needs of the growing Catholic community in Miami

Through the years, Gesù has been a spiritual ambassador to Catholics living in South Florida. It has taken on many roles aside from being a Church. For more than 75 years, Gesù Church started Gesù School which provided elementary and high school education. The school was run by the Sisters of St. Joseph

In addition, the Centro Hispano Católico at Gesù assisted Cuban refugees and refugees from other Central American countries with basic needs and helped with assimilation into a foreign country. From 1959-1982, the Centro Hispano Católico provided refugees with food, clothes, medical care, jobs, housing, daycare, school tuition, English classes, and immigration assistance. In 1962, Gesù served as headquarters to the Pedro Pan operation which bought more than 14,000 unaccompanied children from Communist Cuba

In September 1961, Gesù housed Belén Jesuit Preparatory School for a year and a half. After being exiled from Cuba, Jesuit Priests opened a school for refugee students who were living in Miami. This was the beginning of Belén Jesuit in South Florida.

Today, Gesù Catholic Church remains the spiritual center of downtown Miami. As the oldest church in South Florida, Gesù invites all to visit this historic landmark that has been serving South Florida’s Catholic community for nearly 120 years.

I was channel hopping last night when I came across ‘the rescue’ which if you haven’t seen is a documentary on the rescue of the 12 boys and their football coach from 2km inside a submerged cave in Thailand. It’s a documentary that showcases the power of humanity and what can be achieved when we all work together for a common goal. People from different cultures, beliefs and backgrounds all striving to reunited the lost boys with their families. What resonated with me the most though was the people most instrumental in the rescue where a bunch of civilian hobbyists who cave dive for fun. Though their passion and dedication they had amassed a skill set that very few people on the planet share. What was most striking was how one member of this elite group put it, "last to be picked for the cricket team but first to be picked for the cave dive rescue team". Now I am not for one minute suggesting that landscape photography shares any of the dangers associated with cave diving (unless that is you are a cave diving photographer - but I am guessing that is even more niche) but what it does share is that sense of adventure and excitement of discovering something new and the enjoyment found both on an individual level but also collectively among peers. It struck me that I had a very similar personality type to the cave divers, introverted with a slight awkwardness but with a quiet confidence in my ability to learn and grow from my passion. I wonder if anyone else finds this with the hobbies whether it be cave diving, photography or fire breathing?
