Instax mini with KiiPix (not a camera). The KiiPix is basically a toy that uses Instax mini film to capture an image from a phone (So they think). In this case i basically squeezed my head into the device and added a lot of light :)

Is it over yet?

A few weeks ago, I bought a blind box camera for charity from Adam James of the Shitty Camera Challenge. I received a Polaroid Model 80, which takes film that was discontinued almost 50 years ago. Determined to get a photo out of this thing, I went to Tinkercad and designed a holder for Instax Mini film that would fit inside this. Loaded a single sheet, took it out in the freezing cold to Sandy Hook, and shot this photo of a tree. Had to look up the manual for the camera on my phone to set the shutter speed and aperture, but looks like I got pretty damned close. Very happy with this. Transferred the exposed film back into its pack and developed it though my Kiipix printer. At some point, I may try to wedge the processing unit from that into the camera, but for now, this works.

i was the only student in the early class so i asked the studio owner/teacher if i could play around with my instax mini 90 during class. didn't quite get the double exposure i wanted but we came up with some fun shots and had a blast doing it. much thanks to jess at one eighty yoga for letting me take advantage of the glorious available light in her studio
