This photo is from my current ongoing "ScaryCanary Polaroid Portrait Project". ScaryCanary is the independent music venue and gallery that is very much at the centre of the local alternative music scene at. I play there myself on a regular basis and am using up some of my remaining stock of Fuji FP3000B on a series of portraits of people who work, exhibit, perform and "hang out" there.
Stacey Smith, send left, in stripes, is the owner of ScaryCanary.

When you really need to look like a Pro! Takes Polaroid Spectra film, also known as Image, 1200 or 990 film. All discontinued now since Polaroid stopped making film. The Impossible Project (TIP) do manufacture film for these cameras now so they can still be used. You can also find plenty of expired Polaroid film on eBay however the pods that keep the developing chemicals in them do dry out. Film 5 years older than the expiration date is pretty much unlikely to work, so beware! 'Roid week starts Monday 13th August 2012 so I'm getting prepped!

Again, another try at light painting which went kinda wrong, the light streaks are over exposed and you can see the figure of the light painter as a ghost.

Converted SX-70 Sonar, Polaroid Originals 600 film, Mint yellow filter.
Transferred this pack of film from my Sun 660, so I got a little bit of the film exposed in the process, but I like the way this turned out.

I think the Big Trout is one of the finest "big things" in all Australia.
7/7/2009 UPDATE: I was looking back at some of my Polaroids and loving this baby. I'm running out of my stash of Fuji FP100-C film and feeling too poor to buy more right now. Jeez it hurts!
Does a low film stockpile hurt anyone else?
Strobist info: SB-700 with a Fstopper Flash Disc camera right slightly above the subject. 1/8th Power and triggered with PWIII.
My newly acquired Polaroid Spectra 2 and it's fully functional. Happy to finally own a Polaroid camera!
