I went to Venice for the first time this year and it was quite an experience. Sure there are a lot of tourists (I was one of them...) but the city in itself is quite amazing!

shot with the Polaroid OneStep+ on Polaroid 600
Purchased for my parents in 1964. Probably hasn't been used in almost 40 years. Took in out of storage, cleaned up, new batteries and Fujifilm still makes the film pack. Works perfectly! Very retro, old is new!
This submarine was made especially for my church's Vacation Bible School. My very first Fuji FP-100C photograph.

Already the last day of Polaroid Week, that was cool though :)
First, thanks for all the supportive messages yesterday and today, on the 1/365 photo - much appreciated. Today I woke too early, fell asleep again and eventually re-surfaced at 1.40pm....a couple of hours later it was snowing heavily. Taken again on my Fuji Instax Mini 90. As it's going to be difficult to have too many varied locations, at least for the start of the year, I though I'd try and mix up the tools used. The flash caught some of the snow, which at this point was quite thick, with large flakes..
Taken on 2nd January - according to the app I use to upload, the date taken is showing as 2nd January but not on the desktop site. Hope this note suffices if it doesn’t rectify itself.

Shot for Smile on Saturday, theme "FROM OLD TO NEW"
This is our dinner table on 31st of December, dinner with friends. I took the shot with a 40 year old Polaroid SX-70 instant camera for which film packs are being made again. I put the polaroid photo on my desk and used my DSLR to digitise it.
I bought the camera at an online auction, and the film pack through the newly established firm Polaroid Originals. This was one of the first shots with the camera and I am delighted that it actually works....
Of course my seat at the front right of the table is empty.

不愛這件事或許也是如此。我必須這樣相信才行。因為如果不這樣,如果那並不能被稱為愛的話,有些人就太可憐了。
“I used to think the years would go by in order, that you get older one year at a time,” said Gotanda, peering into my face. “But it’s not like that. It happens overnight.” — Haruki Murakami, Dance Dance Dance
And perhaps love could disappear like that, I mean, overnight, not gradually. I have to believe so because if I don't, if that kind of love shouldn't be named love, it would be way too pitiful to some people.
