A test shoot with Mia yesterday to test out my large format camera with instant back. I'm in love with it :)
Empecé este Diario sin un propósito claro, no me quise poner límites de fotos ni por arriba ni por abajo. Hace días que no cuelgo ninguna. Empecé este Diario pensando en que captaría la realidad ... sin mucha preparación, dejándome llevar precisamente por el instante.
El viernes cuándo entré en mi habitación , me encontré este panorama. Las prisa es mala compañera y últimamente me acompaña a todas partes ... un desorden bonito, pensé, poco habitual en mi casa y generado por todo el trabajo de estos últimos días. En ese momento, paré el tiempo, dejé a la prisa abandonada y me tiré al suelo a jugar con el desorden... a mi, la primavera también me trae un final de curso imponente en el que todo está por hacer, a veces hay que pararse para sonreír de nuevo.

Ayer, mientras esperaba la despedida del sol, entre humedad y helado viento que suavemente mecia las ramas de los pinos, pude contemplar esta despedida. Coincidió justo en este instante capturado, el canto del buho real con ese sol que apenas conseguía acariciar esta tierra... miré el reloj y justo, era las siete menos veinte... me dio la gran sensación que ave y estrella coincidian para saludarse... ésto me recordó una película que he visto muchas veces, "lady alcón" ... no se, me vino a representar que estos dos grandes amores , la única forma de poder verse era en esta hora mágica que me deslumbró, esta coincidencia me pareció una maravilla y al mismo tiempo unos minutos muy especiales... pues en el hechizo de este instante, el sol desaparecería para dar lugar y espacio al ocaso...

This would have been sweet. I picked up a Trip 35 at a local car boot sale for £5 ready for the PDExposures £20 challenge.
Unfortunately, despite it seeming fine when I bought it, the aperture was shot. I did take the camera apart to clean the blades but some of the screw heads were rusted meaning I could get all the way to the aperture. Hey ho, at least I got this shot.
Shot with Polaroid Macro-5 SLR - a beast of a camera (using Spectra film) on Impossible Project PZ680 color protection film.

I meet this young boy who has AIDS, no fault of his own. He lives at an AIDS orphanage we visited in Haiti. That afternoon we were not able to communicate with words, but even still we spoke. Through our smiles, laughs, and little giggles. Walking on the edge of the surf like the seagulls, trying not to let the waves hit us as we walk. Giving chase to the little crabs running across the sand. Speaking even through each little squeeze of our hands.
With tears, I am at a loss for words.
Tec. notes...
As we walked back had my 50mm 1.8 on I was trying to get a good shot at 1.8 and I think the DOF is crazy with my finger nails and his, love how it turned out. A little photoshop, b/c it was quite bright out (to darken surrounding areas).
