Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.

Der Komet wurde am 27. März 2020 im Rahmen des Projekts NEOWISE durch das Weltraumteleskop WISE im Sternbild Achterdeck des Schiffs entdeckt. Er durchlief sein Perihel am 3. Juli 2020[1] und ist in Mitteleuropa mit bloßem Auge seit Anfang Juli zunächst im Nordosten am Morgenhimmel, etwa ab 10. Juli 2020 auch am Abendhimmel im Nordwesten zu sehen.
Für den Kometen konnte aus 353 Beobachtungsdaten über einen Zeitraum von 70 Tagen vorläufig eine langgestreckte elliptische Umlaufbahn bestimmt werden, die um rund 129° gegen die Ekliptik geneigt ist.[1] Die Bahn des Kometen verläuft damit stark angestellt gegen die Bahnebenen der Planeten und er läuft im gegenläufigen Sinn (retrograd) wie diese durch seine Bahn. Im sonnennächsten Punkt (Perihel), den der Komet am 3. Juli 2020 durchlaufen hat, war er etwa 44,1 Mio. km von der Sonne entfernt und befand sich im Bereich zwischen den Umlaufbahnen von Merkur und Venus. Am 12. Juli zieht er in etwa 58,5 Mio. km Abstand am Merkur und am 14. Juli in etwa 86,1 Mio. km an der Venus vorbei. Am 16. Juli passiert er in etwa 174,4 Mio. km Abstand den Mars und am 23. Juli erreicht er mit etwa 0,69 AE/103,5 Mio. km die größte Annäherung an die Erde.
Der Komet bewegt sich auf einer extrem langgestreckten elliptischen Bahn um die Sonne. Nach den derzeit bekannten mit einer gewissen Unsicherheit behafteten Bahnelementen (und ohne Berücksichtigung von nichtgravitativen Kräften) hatte seine Bahn lange vor seiner Passage des inneren Sonnensystems im Jahr 2020 noch eine Exzentrizität von etwa 0,99891 und eine Große Halbachse von etwa 272 AE, so dass seine Umlaufzeit bei etwa 4490 Jahren lag. Die letzte Passage durch das innere Sonnensystem könnte daher um das Jahr −2470 (Unsicherheit ±140 a) erfolgt sein. Durch die Anziehungskraft der Planeten, insbesondere durch relativ nahe Vorbeigänge am Jupiter am 20. September 2020 in etwa 4 ¼ AE Distanz und am Saturn am 8. November 2020 in etwa 9 AE Abstand wird seine Bahnexzentrizität aber auf etwa 0,99919 und seine Große Halbachse auf etwa 360 AE vergrößert, so dass sich seine Umlaufzeit auf etwa 6830 Jahre erhöht. Wenn er um das Jahr 5433 den sonnenfernsten Punkt (Aphel) seiner Bahn erreicht, wird er etwa 108 Mrd. km von der Sonne entfernt sein, über 720-mal so weit wie die Erde und knapp 24-mal so weit wie Neptun. Seine Bahngeschwindigkeit im Aphel beträgt nur etwa 0,03 km/s. Der nächste Periheldurchgang des Kometen wird möglicherweise um das Jahr 8850 (Unsicherheit ±285 a) stattfinden.

The Annapurna Circuit is a trek within the mountain ranges of central Nepal. The total length of the route varies between 160–230 km (100-145 mi), depending on where motor transportation is used and where the trek is ended. This trek crosses two different river valleys and encircles the Annapurna Massif. The path reaches its highest point at Thorung La pass (5416m/17769 ft), reaching the edge of the Tibetan plateau. Most trekkers hike the route anticlockwise, as this way the daily altitude gain is slower, and crossing the high Thorong La pass is easier and safer.
The mountain scenery, seen at close quarters includes the Annapurna Massif (Annapurna I-IV), Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, Pisang Peak, and Paungda Danda. Numerous other peaks of 6000-8000m in elevation rise from the Annapurna range.
