Over the last year or so, these annoying stands selling Dead Sea skincare products have popped up and become an major annoyance at shopping malls across Cape Town. I'm not the only one who thinks they're a bunch of pushy, arrogant scam-artists.
Next time they hold out their free sample to attract my attention as a step off the escalator and say, "sir, can I ask you a question?", I'm going to smack it out of their hand and tell them to drop dead.
Bought myself a squash racquet and some balls over the Freedom Day long weekend - should be a good workout.

April 3, 2012 (Tuesday) - Well, this is an Instagram photo. And, yes, it's my foot. They FINALLY released for Android but there's no native sharing with Flickr. Grr. Useless, I say! That and it's a 12 megabyte app. #fail At this point, it most definitely was NOT worth the wait.
In July of 2005 when I joined Flickr, I expanded my online presence by uploading a DAILY image to this special photo set. Ever since, I've faithfully added one per day. Doing this provides a direct record of my personal experiences. Of course, I started daily blogging in the fall of 2003 and my eJournal and images entries continue every single day as well.
My granddaughter is such a nature girl. Today, at her brothers soccer game, she collected leaves and made a purse out of two leaves stitched together with a long blade of grass. She even made a leaf "wallet" that fits inside. Watch out Kate Spade.

Life seems complicated right now. Not bad, just complicated. Seems I'm running from one great event to the next. If you're doing the 365 you know one of the things that suffers in the busy times is the POTD. So today, as I was rushing to yoga class, I was drawn to this simple bungalow with it's single pumpkin sitting on the porch. Simplicity was really calling my name today . . . for a moment.

I shot this at Athens Square Park in Astoria today. I used an HTC Evo 3G cell phone and Instagram. I wanted to play around with the photo, but it looked best as a normal photo. Of course, it was so bright out that I couldn't see the cell phone screen to clearly, but this seemed to be the best bet.
