This photo is to the memory of Dame Vera Lynn who sadly passed away today. She brought such hope and inspiration to millions with her emotive performances.
The poppy is an enduring symbol of remembrance, it is also a hope for a peaceful future.
I need some inspiration to get back out there or even to take my camera out of the bag. It's been a while. I have inherited, from my father in law, some vintage film camera's and I'm not sure if they still work. But, I have a roll of black and white film that's just screaming to be used. It will happen I'm just not sure when.
Primary inspiration for this week's MM is the song "Big Eyed Fish" by Dave Matthew's Band. Secondary inspiration is a bit more strained - small Venetian glass fish bowl was a gift for my daughter who is named after Eric Clapton's "Layla".

I think this was taken from Inspiration Point at Bryce Canyon at sunrise one morning while camping. We had to get up quite early (5:15 or so) to make the sunrise, but it was lovely.
The Memorial Chapel at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA, where my parents are buried.
The chapel was built in 1964.
