It is on the main road towards Matsumoto Castle, Matsumoto City, Nagano, Japan.
I need some inspiration to get back out there or even to take my camera out of the bag. It's been a while. I have inherited, from my father in law, some vintage film camera's and I'm not sure if they still work. But, I have a roll of black and white film that's just screaming to be used. It will happen I'm just not sure when.

On this day, there was a lot of magic at Philippe Park. The sun was setting behind the trees, and every time I turned around, there was another scene where the magical light was falling. I actually felt like I was "chasing the light".
Sometimes getting out into nature and trying to find the magic and beauty that exists everywhere, leaves one immensely exhilarated and inspired!

I was warming up my frosty car one morning before I went to my son's house... and thought the tree on the lawn looked so pretty and framed through the window... thankfully I always carry my small camera...
I did process this image, just to make it a little more artsy...

The primary inspiration for The Breakers was Italian Renaissance style, which differs quite a bit from the other Vanderbilt property I've been to, Biltmore, where the design was influenced by elegant French chateaus.
