While autumn is clearly upon us, I was trying to clear out some of the clutter in the year's photos. Among them was

this macro of a brilliant blue dragonfly (darter?) that graced our patio in late September. I love the color to be sure - but

also the detail in its lacy wings and even the delicate forelegs harvesting the vestiges of pollen on a

fading butterfly bush. Enjoy! Laura
