I love this blue color.

Seen quite a few of these in the garden over the last few weeks. Not sure about wasps, so perhaps someone can tell me if it is a queen looking for food, home a friend lol ... ;0)

Came across this last May while at Deception Pass State Park.

Should have put it up then.

Spotted this ladybird resting on an aquilegia leaf in my garden. Ready to take flight with its wings beginning to open I had to act fast. A few images and it had flown.

Apologies for wrong name given.

Another of the mass of insects emerging at Startops Reservoir, Tring.

 

This is a live insect taken handheld by laying low on the reservoir bank just keeping my lens off the water. Fortunately it was a windless day.
