Not sure which sawflies these are but there were lots of them, mostly just orange flashes amongst the reeds. TQ173692

We saw quite a few of these insects when we were on holiday in Boa Vista, Cape Verde, I have tried to find out what it is, but unfortunately without success. Can anyone ID it please?

macro photography is a wonderful thing as you can see the insects larger than the eye can see

This time I decided to photograph some insects like grasshoppers and butterflies, so I took a long walk searching for them.

 

Among these flowers there were a lot of butterfies and bees. It was a great scenery. I take lots of photographs from there.
