Pipevine Swallowtail laying eggs on Wolf River Hike

Speckled wood butterfly. Managed to attract it onto a flower with some drops of honey/sugar syrup. Focus stacked using zerene.

Not seen one of these before, ID welcome

Green fly - Was not getting any bug to photograph on this particular day and was unhappy... Then saw this little creature... on the leaf. Above my head's height. Stretched my tripod and kept elbow on it and tried to shoot.. Leaf was moving due to slight wind... but got a manageable shot.. The bug looked too good through the lens :-) Hope you enjoyed the shot... Kenko extension tubes + 100mm macro lens .

Lime Butterfly

Silverstreckad pärlemorfjäril är vår största pärlemorfjäril och den flyger från första veckan i juli till in i augusti. Vingöversidorna är gulbruna med svarta fläckar, vilket är typiskt för pärlemorfjärilar. Undersidans pärlemorteckning har ett bandlikt utseende, och avviker därmed från alla andra pärlemorfjärilsarter som har pärlemorteckningen i fläckar.

Silverstreckad pärlemorfjäril finns i södra och mellersta delen av landet och en bit norrut utefter Östersjökusten. Den flyger på olika ängsmarker, och man hittar den ganska ofta även i parker och trädgårdar där det finns gott om blommande växter.
