To survive in the harsh deserts of Arknaz, toughness and endurance is of paramount importance. The Talon class scout ship from Torgin Industries is certain to get you through any situation. With twin hover disks and boundless agility, this is an ideal ship for traversing desolate and dangerous places. A small yet formidable gun is mounted up front, and countermeasures can be found on the top of the Talon. The thrusters on the sides of the ship provide an extra boost which could decide between life and death. Your comrades might not always have your back, but the Talon will.

A huge huge thank you to my InnovaLUG guys who critiqued this build and gave some great advice. I was really inspired by the MAK Firefly, so I based the front of the Talon off of the Firefly, but after that, I let my imagination run wild. :)

God bless!

Exodus 32:15-16: And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides on the one side and on the other side were they written. And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

I started out building the columns, which determined the scale of the creation. I plan to post instructions on how to build the columns within the next few weeks. The roof took a while to get right, but was rewarding in the end.

Entry for category 4 of the 'Style it up' contest hosted by InnovaLUG. The challenge was to build something with no studs showing.

My part of the InnovaLUG tiny trailblazers collab. It's a pretty simple build, but I think it turned out pretty well, especially the spaceship.

Journal Entry:

Thirtieth day of the Ninth month.

"Since the terraforming, islands have been easier to collect with the cash-in nearly doubled. Today I've made a sale to a kindly Navy-Man that'll keep me and the crew set for at least a month. ~ Troy Forbes, Foruitous Rock Roper.

Built for Innovalug's Style it Up contest. Week 1 was to create a build using only one color. The only exception is minifigures and their accessories.

6He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, 7 saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’

He is risen! Today, Christians all over the world celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

When I was told about a Lego contest where you can only build in one color, I was already sold. After 6 years of building, I finally got the chance to build in my favorite color!

It proved to be an interesting challenge as very few parts are available in dark purple, including many methods of attaching Technic parts, as even the inside structure is all purple.

Behold the majesty of the best color in the world!! And thanks to InnovaLUG for holding this contest!

This was built for the February InnovaLUG Vignette Collaboration and it doubles as an entry for Fractured Kingdoms.

Built in 2020 for entry into the Innovalug Style it Up contest - I built a little base for it and added a custom printed brick last year for Creations for Charity but sadly little Robo guy never sold. Maybe he'll have better luck this year :)

High in the sky, a few thousand feet off the edge of Fagimburg floats St. Vincent Guardhouse. Armed with militia and cannons, it has been defending Fagimburg since the city's construction. It's waterfall is a mystery to behold, but legend says at the core of the island is a special stone that creates the fountain of water.

Second week of Innovalugs contest, another monochromatic build, this time its a study in symmetry, and how much I hate making curved ceilings.

Enjoy!

Captain Nordau returns to the Brick Seas! Took him long enough. He's got a slight upgrade from the rowboat though! :D

Whew - this is definitely my most ambitious ship project to date! This was supposed to be a three week build back when I started it at the beginning of 2020, hahaha - and then I had the crazy idea of trying to get it to BrickWorld 2020... and then covid happened and well, three years later, here we finally are! And yes, I did make that ridiculous trip from South America to Chicago with this thing, hahaha!

Oh, and in the meantime, I got an amazing offer from the generous guys at Lightailing to review their lights and sound effect boards, so yeah, that's been awesome too! Head on over to the Innovalug website for my full lighting guide/review!

And, a link to my inspiration pic!

A few stats:

117 studs at the waterline (3')

165 studs to point of bowsprit (4'3")

~58 studs crossbeam (1'7")

~170 studs tall (4'5")

40 flashing cannons

36 crew (including skeletons, XP)

72 gun galleon

~35 pounds

Sound effects & 85+ lights

Building time: 3 years

Brick numbers: I have no idea, XP

Thanks for viewing, C&C welcome as always! Cheers!

My entry for the third category of the 'style it up' contest hosted by InnovaLUG. The challenge was to build something that balances on only four studs.

Greetings all! InnovaLUG has decided to have another go at a flash-MOC! This theme is Age of Empires II buildings, from the Britons civilization.

Also, feel free to check out InnovaLUG's article about the flash-MOC here.

Built this for the Style It Up contest being held by Innovalug the challenge was to create a moc that only had 4 studs of contact with a surface.

I started this for the InnovaLUG autumn vig collab, but couldn't finish it in time. I took a stab at a more "bouldery" style of rockwork.

To God be the Glory!

One of my favorite buildings in Wellington, been wanting to attempt something inspired by it for quite some time!

This build is for 2 different contests, one being the 4th and final week of Innovalugs contest, this week, no studs were allowed to be exposed. More of a challenge than I though, a lot of my techniques and textures I like to use have either the whole stud or the side of a stud exposed. an interesting challenge for sure though!

Also an entry into The Great WellingtonNZ Brick Challenge, Where we needed to build something inspired by something in Wellington.

Enjoy!

See day 5 here

InnovaLUG presents the Isles of Aura! Pop in some earbuds and listen as you look!

The 18th day of the 9th month.

I find myself in an irritating situation. A sudden storm struck two nights ago and broke the mainmast on my trusty trading ship. My partner took the boat to the nearest town to repair it while I took inventory of our remaining supplies, but that was many hours ago and he should be back. Probably off chit-chatting with his friends in town. He always was one for listening to all the gossip. He better get back before the trade winds turn or we’ll have a long wait and will lose some of the perishable goods. Hmmph.

Renier is a traveling merchant and peddler who makes his living transporting merchandise from one far-flung island to another, trading goods with farmers and settlers who rarely travel to cities and towns. This is his supply depot, a place to store goods between trips.

EDIT: You can now see a video of all the Isles of Aura Builds as well.

This is my entry for week two of InnovaLUG’s style it up contest. This weeks challenge was to make a build that is perfectly symmetrical

Hey everyone!

So this build was for InnovaLUGs 4 week in the Style it up contest, in which no studs had to be exposed.

Unfortunately I got the times mixed up and wasn't able to submit it in time, oh well.

Anyway, this was really fun and it gave me a chance to build in a variety of different techniques.

Thanks for looking

It was a ton of fun to do more building in the Isles of Aura for Brickworld, especially as part of a large group display with InnovaLUG.

This was one of the smaller contributions Isaac and I put together, but I’m really happy with how the homestead turned out.

Inspiration for the chicken coop came from Brother Steven.

One of the three large islands that John and I contributed to the Isles of Aura display at Brickworld. I’ve been wanting to build a monastery for a while, and this was a great opportunity to do so and to use dark orange 1×1 round bricks that we had gotten from LUGbulk last year. I also used plenty of tan 1×1 quarter circle tiles in the courtyard.

Olureon Monastery is well known for its beautiful terra-cotta roofs and carefully kept gardens. Both the Vermillion and Cerulean kingdoms respect the monastery’s non-violent approach to life, making it a safe haven even in times of strife.

And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river and her maidens walked along by the river's side and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children... And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

Greetings all! This was my build for the InnovaLUG, The Story of Moses collab/flash moc. Thanks to the InnovaLUG members for the suggestions when building this!

#innovaLUG #legomoses

I built this for InnovaLUG's Style It Up contest. This weeks challenge was to build a MOC with only one color.

Because of exams, I only had an hour to build this week so I decided to double dip this week into both the final round of InnovaLUG's Style it Up! Contest as well as tossing my hat into the ring for the newly revitalized Iron Builder!

For Style it Up! the prompt was to design a build with no studs exposed, so my mind wandered to smooth objects like peanut butter.

For Iron Builder, I decided to include the seed part of the minifgure legs, seen in the peanuts of the peanut butter, and the unfortunate spill of the jam.

Overall was a very fun and simple design to finish in just one hour and I'm proud of how it turned out!

Inspired by Studio Ghibli's movie "Howl's moving castle" and Hayao Miyazaki's ever inspiring creativity I built the moving castle. For those who don't know what it's about check out the movie trailer here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwROgK94zcM

I've watched quite a few Ghibli movies and always wanted to do something related to them. And when I saw that Innovalugs "Style it up" contest challenged us to have the MOC being held up by only 4 studs the idea of a floating castle in the sky immediately came to mind, but I though most people would be doing that so then Howl's castle popped in my mind. Even though it's not your typical castle it's still mighty cool. I'd warmly recommend watching the movie, even if you are not into animated stuff I'm 90% sure you'll love it.

Build wise this was one of the most difficult MOCs I've made. So many weird angles, small details and odd shapes. I've used a bunch of weird pieces to accomplish that. I also used over 20 leg pieces for a specific contest involving iron ;)

I'm personally quite happy with the build, but if I was building it again I'd change quite a few things from the start. That's all, thoughts and feedback always appreciated!

Built for a InnovaLUG Vignette Collab which had a theme of Autumn and castle.

“A tree grasped by the hand of destiny”. This is my creation for innovalugs “Style it up” contest. The challenge was to build a creation only using one color ( excluding filler). I was inspired by Greek and Slavic mythology, especially Daphne and a side quest from the Witcher 3. I also generally love smaller bonsai trees, so I wanted to try and build one. Since LEGO doesn’t make any leaf pieces in light bluish gray, I had figure out how to build the top part of the tree. I ended up using the inner wheel pieces (don’t know the exact name in English), which I had quite a few on and which I previously used in some creations. Will post some more pics in the coming days. Thoughts and questions always appreciated.

InnovaLUG built vignettes for each minifigure in the Disney line, and I built this for Captain Hook. See all the others on InnovaLUG.com: innovalug.com/post/79/lego-disney-minifigure-vignettes-an...

My first entry for the Colossal Castle Contest XVIII, in the wizard duel category. It's not super complex, but it was fun to mess around with some new parts and techniques. A lot of thanks to InnovaLUG, LOTRLUG, and EmpireLUG for feedback along the way. I hope you enjoy it!

Week 3 of the "Style It Up!" contest – hosted by InnovaLUG over on Discord – required entries to stand on a maximum of four studs. So I went with three :D

This one was quite something, a tightrope walk in the brick at best. Usually there is one difficult element in any given MOC, maybe two. But with this one every single segment hit me hard – bringing its own challenge with it, like being hard to sculpt or even having to find the right SNOT arrangement...

I'm super glad how it turned out in the end, and I'll make sure to find a display case for it!

My thanks to Rocco for the title!
