A different selfportrait :))

A wonderful and lightfilled start into the new week to all of you!!!

Almost dark... with the last sunrays of the afternoon. I uploaded a shot from the same wonderful model earlier in autumn. Organizing my archives I couldn't withstand to upload this one too ;))

A joyous and colourful start into the new week!!!

Mich träumte ich fiel

in den Abyss

während ich stürzte

voll Angst

spürte ich sanft

Deine Hände

mich auffangen

und zärtlich

umschliessen.

I had a dream

of falling into the abyss

during the plunge

full of dispair

I suddenly felt

the gentle touch

of your hands

intercepting my fall

holding me tender.

I wrote a long-pondered post on my blog about a dream I had after my hysterectomy, one that inspired recent explorations with the notion of inner light. Here's a new cyanotype (8x10 on Canson Montreal watercolor paper) that was created with that goal in mind. You can read more about it on mu blog. Thanks, as always to those who take the time to read what I write. I appreciate you so very much.

I just couldn't resist to take more photographs of these tiny little berries. Their translucency is so spectacular.... but a real harrass in focusing ;)) They have such a shiny skin you really have to catch them in the right angle... with backlighting as well. Otherwise you will get some deep purple berries. But that's what I love anyway... to search for a plants soul.

... enjoying a delicious morning bath ;-)

Light is one of the most beautiful and purest things that exist within our world.

It glows, it burns, it shines. It sparkles. It glistens. It illuminates everything in a incandescent glimmer. It is bright. It is everlasting. Light is so enchanting, it's mesmerizing.

It is almost a miracle that something so magnificent can be residing inside of us. Our inner light.

What, exactly, is inner light?

It's the hand that you extend when you help up another person who has fallen. It's the courage that makes you stick by your principles even if no one else is on your side. It's the empathy that stirs your heart when you put yourself in someone else's shoes. It's the goodness that is within you, the kindness that holds you back from doing the things that you know would hurt someone else.

Don't ever let it extinguish. Keep your inner light shining and shimmering in its glorious innocence. For once it burns out, the darkness that overtakes you will remove all the beauty that you see in the world. And then, life would be neverending midnight. Wouldn't it be more beautiful to live in an eternal sunrise?

The simplest coffees are the richest, without the need for decorations or additions.

The lighting of the commercial area allowed to enhance the blur or also called "bokeh".

(NOTE: Photograph taken at Centro Comercial Xanadú, Móstoles, Madrid, Spain, with a Nikon Z 6 II camera and a Meyer Optik Görlitz Primoplan 58mm F1.9 II lens for Z mount, with the diaphragm fully open, F1.9. This lens does not have electronic communication pins with the camera, hence some metadata is missing, since focus and aperture are controlled entirely manually.)

Water Lily at Biltmore Gardens

When the sweet glance of my true love caught my eyes,

Like alchemy, it transformed my copper-like soul.

I searched for Him with a thousand hands,

He stretched out His arms and clutched my feet.*

I found the leaf with the tiny drops in our vinyard...

a small oxalys leaf growing almost on the ground.

There again I had to learn that you have to go down

to your knees infront of the wonders of nature...
