They are all over the maple trees...

the warm winter let lots of the survive.

I just discovered him while lookin through

my macro lens... they are very well disguised!

They say a good photo should be "catchy"... so this time, I took it literally.

Beyond the ironwork and the wood, a sanctuary of peace unfolds. A stolen glance at a space of silence, where the eye seeks the sacred.

Someday perhaps the inner light will shine forth from us, and then we'll need no other light.

Purple and green... a combination I love!

I just couldn't decide which frame I liked best - the white one...

now, that I had some time I think I only would have uploaded this one...

as I usually do (frame with white). Just thought the black might give it

a better contrast...

Gus would often shy away when I would break out the camera. He was reluctant, but I could tell that he was still interested in the process.

This was taken at one of the coffee shops we'd hang out at in San Francisco, Muddy Waters. It was an early foggy morning, and we had a stirring conversation about the practice of painting while being still inside. What's amazing to me is that after 15 years, I can still contemplate that conversation and glean deeper truths.

What a great point of reference from a reluctant monk.

See in large! This is the "doubled, mirrored & stiched" photograph "autumnal colors dancing with light"

A beauty with this wonderful little spot on her nose! She is Maya Magdalenas'

Without going out of my door

I can know all things on earth

With out looking out of my window

I could know the ways of heaven

The farther one travels

The less one knows

The less one really knows

Got this idea as I was listening to the song, i have no idea why, but i put my camera on a low f/stop and shutter speed, thats how i got the trippy blur.

It is raining today as I am reviewing the photographs I have taken yesterday... the more I am struck by these colors. There is no postcorrecting, no enhacing of colors, only a little cropping. The leaves and the colorful background bokeh looked exactly as you see them on the photograph.

This is a "mirrored, doubled and stiched" picture

out of my series "DancingColors"

It is only the roses that are given the credits...

while focusing on a rose I suddenly saw this

wonderful leaf in my lens... and decided for the leaf!
