#AskYounusAlGohar - What is Toheed, how does one obtain it and what is the reality of Shirk?
His Holiness Younus AlGohar's detailed answer to a viewer's question in light of the Holy Koran and Hadith (Prophetic Traditions).
Main Points:
- In order to understand what Toheed is you can look at the structure of a sentence, for example, a sentence would normally contain a verb, a noun, and an adjective; Toheed is a verb, an action. And the meaning of Toheed is for two entities to become one.
- All the clerics from different denominations in Islam give the wrong interpretation of Toheed. They believe that Toheed is a belief system, whereas Toheed is an action. The greatest concern for God is not for mankind to believe he is the sole creator.
- The command of Toheed actually means to become one with God by obtaining Spiritual Infusion. This is the reason why God created this world. God is inviting his creation to one with their creator in a way that your being becomes the embodiment of God.
- If you have not obtained a complete infusion with God - Toheed - then you have committed Shirk. It is not possible to believe in two Gods when the reality is that there is only one God. Therefore, in order to obtain Toheed you must annihilate yourself and bring the presence of God within you.
