This is a screen grab from a browser-based product design we co-developed with the IDeaS team that was tailored to work within Internet Explorer (circa 2004). PixelMEDIA provided information architecture, prototyping, usability, design, web development and documentation.

There are many techniques to build screens.

A couple of weeks ago, I already shared with you the results of my research on the Netway Interface Comfort Zone. Today, I want to talk more about another technique: the Netway Interface Sweet Spot.

The analysis of thousands of eye movements over the last years has allowed us to define the zone most users will look at during the first seconds they are visiting a site.

This discovery is important to validate a series of concepts based on a thorough knowledge of the human vision mechanism (spread of the cones on the retina, binocular vision field,…).

Experience and brand forces work in opposition within the user experience. Rarely do they find a perfect balance. These conflicting forces arise early in requirements, fester during development, and compete for users' attention during the lifespan of the experience.

drawing simple and iconic pieces demonstrating differences in the world

Information Architecture - website critique proposal - competitor analysis 2

Personal work: drawing simple/iconic pieces.

Working on a new simplistic style (with the risk of getting complex anyway). This style should be usable for stuff like infographics. I realise it's still a bit generic...

Still piecing this one together... suggestions welcome - best viewed large!
