Solar Savings: A Solar Innovation Story from ExtraSpace.com is a new infographic by InfoNewt and designer Jeremy Yingling. This one tells the story of how the company is adding solar panels to the roof space on some of it’s self storage facilities all across the country. The environmental, financial and community benefits are huge, and this was only the first year of a multi-year plan.
Extra Space Storage is on a mission to produce solar powered clean energy and reduce the carbon footprint of our 850+ self storage facilities. We aim to install 20,000 solar panels this year, and increase the pace of panel installation every year. Energy efficient clean power is good for our customers and our neighborhoods, our planet, and our investors. By the end of 2011 this program will save 2,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 100 acres of fir trees.

A nice infographic, but the source is a bit in doubt. The website of Wilson Electronics doens’t mention where the data comes from. Maybe it’s simply a publicity stunt with questionable data – wouldn’t be the first one – but it’s nicely done. Or could they have done better?

Our monthly rates for life insurance depend on many factors, but most predominately gender, age, whether or not you smoke, and the amount of coverage you desire are key. A quick comparison of life insurance with the charts below can tell you if you are paying more than the industry average for your coverage, and what you can do to reduce your rates.

Premise vs. premises
Note that Anheuser-Busch uses the phrase "off-premise" to denote sales at stores and shops: beer sold to be removed from the premises.
â–¶ The word "premise" refers to the basis of an argument, and NEVER to a location.
â–¶ The word "premises" means:
— a piece of real estate
— a tract of land including its buildings
— a building together with its grounds and other attachments.
â–¶"Premises," when referring to location, is always plural. The word refers to a building and the land on which it sits. Society relies on precise language to convey precise meaning. Thus, the correct term is "off-the-premises."
The phrase "off-premise" (singular) literally refer back to an idea, thus meaning an 'off' (wacky, wrong) idea. Many might argue that Anheuser-Busch saying that it brews 'beer' might be an 'off' premise. In A-B's defense, this incorrect usage is applied by many businesses, not only those in beer.
