52 Weeks: The 2021 Edition Theme: Infinity
Week 9/52
I tried a number of ways to do infinity. I wanted to do it landscape as I prefer 16x9 photos. I tried different lenses and focal lengths - I like 18mm best. I then tried having the camera low down, high up and in the middle - high up was best. I also tried varying the the foreground - jetty plus/minus reeds and open water. The other thing I tried was open sky vs trees above. This is the one I settled on.

That building you see there is the Viceroy Hotel and Spa Miami but it is known by the name of "W Miami" I do not know why.
W Miami, formerly Viceroy Miami, is a luxury hotel located in Brickell, Miami and part of the three-tower mixed-use Icon Brickell complex. The hotel, located at 485 Brickell Avenue, opened in 2009 and contains several restaurants, pools, and lounges.
Qatari hospitality investment firm Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC), wholly owned subsidiary of Al Faisal Holding, acquired the Viceroy Miami hotel in June 2016 for $ 64.5 million. Following the sale, the hotel was rebranded to Starwood Hotels and Resort Worldwide's W Miami.
The hotel opened in 2009 and was designed by Arquitectonica, Miami-based international architecture, interior design, and urban planning company. In 2011, the Viceroy was bought by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust for $ 36.5 million.
W Miami is one of three towers in the Icon Brickell project. The 10 acre development is located on the waterfront property in the Brickell neighborhood of Greater Downtown Miami. Located in Tower 3, W Miami, consists of 148 rooms and suites, 5 commercial units, and 38 condominium units in the 50-story building.
W Miami is best known for its rooftop cocktail lounge on the 50th floor, the signature W Living Room on the hotel's 15th floor, and Florida's largest infinity pool also located on the rooftop.

I set the alarm for 4 am and I found that waking up so early can be very painful but I was looking so forward for this morning to get out in the fresh air and take some shots. The dilema was "did I forgot how to use the camera?" I arrived at 5.15am on location and for some mysterious reason my good friend Marc Alexander was already on location. He is never on time!!
As for weather, at first we were expecting sun however then the dark clouds came across so the Weather Channel on Foxtel was wrong, again. Despite having no sun Marc and I started to explore our location of North Narrabeen and once again this location offered so much even though those dark clouds where above us.
I was waiting for this fisherman in the photo to be still for few seconds and I managed somehow to capture him as well....so here we go...I hope you enjoy...
