Ik ben bijtijds wakker, ik kan de schoenen-fabrikant door het tijdsverschil namelijk direct bellen. De schoenen blijken naar Tehachapi te zijn verstuurd, zoals ik oorspronkelijk had gevraagd. Ze moeten daar komende donderdag (overmorgen) aankomen. Dan eerst maar ontbijt maken (geroosterde broodjes, scrambled egg en een pannekoek, die gaat een stuk beter mét boter). Na ontbijt zoek ik uit hoe ik m'n nieuwe schoenen hier krijg, oplossing is uiteindelijk om de ontvanger in Tehachapi de doos door te laten sturen.
De rest van de ochtend doe ik wat lezen. Voor middageten maak ik pannekoeken, daarna puzzel ik wat op loop-planning; er komt nog een serieus stukje woestijn aan.
Rond drie uur zit ik met een lopers-familie van drie (moeder 'Double Check', dochter 'Flash' en vader (naam vergeten)) uit Hawaï. Dochter is jarig, ze gaan naar de bioscoop, met een Uber-rit. Als ik zin heb mag ik best meerijden. Tja, waarom niet? Ik ga mee; film is 'Avengers Infinity War'; schijnt een super-populaire film te zijn, de familie is achteraf ook enthousiast. Ik zie vooral een verhaal met doel om zo veel mogelijk superhelden in één film te krijgen, maar vermakelijk is het wel ;)
Rond zeven uur zijn we terug in 'Hiker Heaven', waar ik Ellen en Rob weer tegenkom. Ze zijn vanmiddag aangekomen, leuk om weer even bij te praten. Ik kook voor mezelf nog avondeten (rijst met wat groente en tomatensaus) en kijk nog even een stukje film mee in het hiker-huisje, dan naar bed.

Infinity Mirrored Room - Filled with the Brilliance of Life, 2011/2017
Entering this installation, you move along a reflective walkway over a shallow pool. Around you, tiny dots of light are repeated endlessly in the mirrors and water. The lights pulse, like a heartbeat or a ticking clock. Even while we experience infinite space, we are made aware of time passing.
The effects Kusama creates relate to her own visual hallucinations. Kusama has experienced these from early in her life. In them she becomes ‘obliterated’ by repeated dots. Here she invites us to share this ‘self-obliteration’. The dots surround and engulf you, making it hard to tell where you end and where the rest of the room begins. Usually, when we experience art, there’s a clear distinction between us and the artwork. But Kusama confuses this on purpose. To experience her mirror rooms, she asks us to become part of them.

Tate presents a rare chance to experience two of Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Rooms. These immersive installations will transport you into Kusama’s unique vision of endless reflections.
Infinity Mirrored Room – Filled with the Brilliance of Life is one of Kusama’s largest installations to date and was made for her 2012 retrospective at Tate Modern. It is shown alongside Chandelier of Grief, a room which creates the illusion of a boundless universe of rotating crystal chandeliers.
A small presentation of photographs and moving image – some on display for the first time – provides historical context for the global phenomenon that Kusama’s mirrored rooms have become today.

The first tower in the Infinity Towers two block complex. It's supposed to be 42 stories, or about 400 feet tall when finished.
I like the curved glass effect, making the building feel like a bit of a ripple.
For stage 2, we are using an Infinity Reference 1262w. This 12 inch subwoofer is equipped with dual 4 ohm voice coils and can be wired in as a 2 ohm load capable of withstanding 1200 watts at peak and 600 watts RMS.

"INFINITY PART I
Chapter 1: The Dome
Visualize it - the dome. Sitting atop a huge circular building with windows you can't see through. They are mirrored, and the light shines out into the extensive grounds, graced by palm trees and tropical plants. The walkways are lined with a river, that runs parallel, and the scent of the plants is heady.
Tables are made for four, but can be placed together for groups enjoying the atmosphere. There are perches at each table for tropical birds that sing to their hearts content. They aren't on the menu, and neither are their friends. The chickens that run between the plants are colorful and eat from various feeders located throughout the jungle.
Yes, it's like a jungle, a friendly jungle. Are there monkeys? Of course, but watch your purse. They are noted pickpockets, but only if you have chocolates in your possession.
The fish swim in the small river, but they are also begging food from the guests. There are signs everywhere to tell the people not to feed them bread. It will make them sick. Special fish food is presented along with your fare, something fun for everyone.
What more could a patron ask?
If you bring your dog, they should sit with you at the table, and be bird friendly. We have been assured that canines are on good behavior, because the owner pays special attention to their needs. They have their own menu. Now, I hear you wondering if you can bring your cat? Do you think your cat would want to come with you, or be left to wander your property in luxury, without you telling them what to do?
Oh my, there's a frog and a few water turtles basking in the sun. They have ramps along the river to climb out of the water. Don't worry about too many tadpoles in the late spring. The Proprietor of Infinity has said that it's the perfect balanced environment for everyone.
In the back, there is an enclosed garden with dozens of stakes to support the fresh tomatoes and other crops that are being grown for the menu. Yes, there it is again, the word menu. Is this a vegetarian restaurant or a zoo? All types of diet needs are covered on Infinity's menu. It does go in the direction of less meat and more vegetables, but what does one eat if they are not serving chicken? How can one resist the freshly grown varieties of exotic fruits? All of the Mediterranean at your fingertips. In fact, who would want to eat a resident whom swam, or walked by your table?
Remember, Infinity is magic. Do you want me to get you an application, or a reservation? Wait until you meet the guests. In fact, wait until you meet the waiters

This photograph was taken at the Cycle of Songs rehearsal for the piece entitled 'Infinity', composed by Peter Gregson, at Emmanuel College on 12th June 2014. This was sung by a composite choir of singers mainly from Women of Note and ReSound.
John had to move a lot (but not all!) of his busts and statues out of the way of the painters today, and they ended up assembled on the top shelf of his entertainment center. I told him it looked like the cover of an Infinity Gauntlet comic.
The distinctive curve of the footbridge arches create a unique reflection in the River Tees forming the mathematical symbol for infinity and lending itself to the name.

Linking Stockton on Tees's North Shore to Thornaby on the South shore, the bridge was designed and built in partnership with Stockton Borough Council with Expedition Engineering, Spence Associates and WYG, fabrication by Cleveland Bridge and site construction by Balfor Beatty.
Stockton Infinity 2011 Festival with entertainment around the River Tees and on the iconic Infinity Bridge. Musicians , mobile fire and water structures were photographed as dusk falls, the bridge was dramatically transformed with a string of flames and magical illuminated fountains sending arcs of illuminated water into the River Tees.
