Fushimi Inari Taisha (伏見稲荷大社?) is the head shrine of Inari, located in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Japan. The shrine sits at the base of a mountain also named Inari which is 233 metres above sea level, and includes trails up the mountain to many smaller shrines.

Since early Japan Inari was seen as the patron of business, and merchants and manufacturers have traditionally worshipped Inari. Each of the torii at Fushimi Inari Taisha is donated by a Japanese business. First and foremost, though, Inari is the god of rice.

Starry sky over the sea of fog in the Rhön Mountains(Germany) on 19.02.2015. View from the Pferdskopf. No moonlight, extremely clear air and fog in the valleys, which blocked the light from all the cities around have contributed to the fact that I could see so many stars as rarely before.

While shooting at Infinity Bridge, my camera locked open and refused to operate correctly. This is one of the handheld images I inadvertently captured as I tried to rectify the issue. Happily, my swearing wasn't recorded! :-)

The image has been recorded as a 15 second exposure. In practice, it was a lot longer; 15 seconds is simply the shutter speed I had selected, not what the camera gave me.

It has, of course, no creative merit whatsoever, but I thought it might be a colourful way of brightening up what is a pretty monochrome world.

See this earlier shot for a clearer idea of how this infinity pool, on the roof of Singapore's Marina Bay Sands, looks.

The Infinity Bridge over the river Tees is always a serene sight by moonlight.

Allan England & I noticed that the river had become very still, giving a perfect reflection so we se up our gear to take this shot …. then click … out went the bridge lights !!! only leaving the led lights over the walkway. There was just enough light left to take a shot & this was the result :-)

Info :- a 4 shot overlapped pano taken at 24mm - f8 - 20 seconds - iso 320 with the Samyang 24mm 1.4 lens.
