The stone shapes the portal, round,
threads woven from endless space —
universal energy flows through.

The galactic center is the center of gravity of the Milky Way system. Seen from the earth, it lies in the constellation Sagittarius, where the visible band of the Milky Way appears to be the most dense. The distance of the earth from the center of the Milky Way is about 25,000 light-years. At the center of the Milky Way is a massive black hole.
The Orion Nebula is a massive cloud of gas and dust around 1,300 light years from Earth and is located in the constellation of Orion. It is around 25 light years across and is the closest star forming region to Earth.
The Orion Nebula is a hive of star forming activity, as a result it has given us a greater understanding as to how stars are formed.
Many stars in the Orion Nebula have disks of debris around them, indicating the very beginnings of planetary formation.
The Orion Nebula contains the Trapezium star cluster, a tight group of young massive stars that provide much of the nebula's brightness.
Apart from areas in and around the center of large cities the Orion Nebula is visible to the naked eye.
The Orion Nebula is actually part of a much larger nebula known as the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex.

Cuando nos acostumbramos a ver, olvidamos como mirar.
Atrévete a mirar más allá,verás que no todos los días acaban igual,y no dejes de observar el horizonte, está lleno de sorpresas...
When we used to see, we forget how to look.
If you look beyond you will see that every day does not end the same way.
keep watching the horizon,is full of surprises ...

The Passing Winter is a sculpture by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, made in 2005 and currently exhibited in the Tate Modern. The sculpture is a glass cube lined on the both the interior and exterior with mirrors. The mirrors create an illusion that the circles cut into its walls are receding into infinite space.... Apparently.

Infinite Space by Chantal Lieu reflects the infinite possibilities of the revitalized Scholars Green park and plays with the concept of space by exploring impossible feats of gravity. The bold, bright colours paired with a geometric approach create a fun experience that juxtaposes fantasy and reality. By portraying people of all kinds participating in park activities and exploring a myriad of paths together, the design exhibits a strong sense of community and celebrates the diversity of our experiences.
Dive into the magical, ethereal world of teamLab Borderless in Tokyo, where art transcends boundaries and invites you to step into a universe of shimmering light and infinite imagination. The photograph captures a mesmerizing section of the “Crystal World,” an iconic installation composed of thousands of LED light strands that cascade like shimmering rain. These dynamic lights pulse, ripple, and shift in mesmerizing patterns, creating a constantly evolving tapestry of color and motion. The pink hues in this particular scene evoke a dreamlike ambiance, immersing visitors in a surreal, otherworldly experience.
TeamLab Borderless isn’t just a museum—it’s a labyrinth of interconnected spaces where art comes alive and responds to your presence. Here, every step you take alters the flow of light, encouraging a deeply personal interaction with the digital environment. Reflections on mirrored floors and walls amplify the effect, creating an illusion of infinite depth that blurs the line between the physical and the virtual.
This enchanting exhibit is part of teamLab’s larger philosophy of borderless art—a concept that breaks down traditional barriers between artwork, space, and audience. It’s an Instagram-worthy dreamscape but also a profound exploration of human connection and natural phenomena. Whether you're walking among the dazzling light curtains, marveling at interactive projections, or simply soaking in the ambiance, the Crystal World is an unforgettable highlight of Tokyo’s vibrant art scene.
Pro tip: Visit during off-peak hours for a more immersive experience, and wear comfortable shoes, as you’ll be wandering through a labyrinth of light, sound, and wonder. Prepare to lose yourself—both figuratively and literally—in this spectacular digital art realm.

Pouring Light
Photographed by Patrick Mittelstadt
Shutter Speed: 0.40000s
Aperture: f/3.8
Flash: Did Not Fire
Focal Length: 22mm
ISO: 400
Metering Mode: Pattern
Settings: Aperture Priority
Composition: The set-up was the most labor intensive. I based this photograph off an idea I made up one afternoon. The set-up composed of:
Homemade Light Box 30" by 40"
Black Backdrop
(1) 60 Watt Red Eco Bulb
8.5 inch Reflector Shop Light center
Bounced off top White Box
LED Flashlight inside Martini Shaker with candle blown out (right-side up)
Crown Royal Old Fashioned Glass (suspended upside down by Twine Rope)
I really liked the abstract feel of this photograph and how space is undefined. The martini shaker holds the smoke and flash light. The flash light was supposed to amplify the smoke. The smoke would have been better defined if an incense stick was used. The smoke and light appear to fill the glass once the photograph was rotated 180 degrees.
Regardless of my intentions, the martini shaker shows action through light being poured from the shaker to the crystal glass.

Per the Guild's website, "The Guild Theater in Oak Park was designed and financed by Joseph Lewis and completed in 1915... Originally called the Victor Theater, the building's structure reflected the influence of the Moorish Revival on theaters of that era."

One of the most interesting Art Shows I have seen was at the Infinite Space show in Washington, DC recently. Absolutely mesmerizing - this looked a bit like the Death Star scene in Star Wars. For most post info and link to show info, check out my short blog at www.digitalladysyd.com/?p=6265
