Women's empowerment is an important area for #IndoBeef reflected in the programs gender strategy and research on gender issues. #IndoBeef team researchers have been invited as resource persons to a women farmer training initiated by the Ridho Ilahi Cooperative in Wanasaba sub-district, East Lombok.

The program has been designed and developed by the Rido Ilahi Cooperative in partnership with @lipiindonesia and is funded by an @AustraliaAward Alumni Grant. It aims to empower women by providing capacity building for female cattle farmers on feed management, formulation of complete feed based on locally available resources and cattle growth monitoring.

#IndoBeef researchers Tanda Panjaitan, @BPTP NTB, Dahlanuddin, @humasunram63, and Nurul Hilmiati, @BPTP NTB, were happy to share their expertise with these enthusiastic group and contribute to this exiting program.

In March 2019, #IndoBeef research program will commence the first feeding trial in Lombok for the #CropCow project.
This is also part of University of New England, AU​ PhD candidate Fahrul Irawan's experimental research program, entitled: The effectiveness of starch supplementation on mimosine or DHP conjugation in Bali cattle fed Leucaena leucocephala.

This work will be supervised by Dr Fran Cowley (UNE) , Dr Mic Halliday (UNE), Prof Roger Hegarty (UNE) and Prof Dahlanuddin University of Mataram​ and is conducted in partnership with The University of Queensland​'s Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research​ funded #MoreBeef project.

#IndoBeef PRESENTS AT INDOLIVESTOCK 2019
The #IndoBeef team is proud to have participated in the @IndoLivestockExpoAndForum 2019 in Surabaya, East Java. This event is hosted by the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia and brings together more than 10000 visitors and delegates from 40 countries.
An important opportunity for #IndoBeef to showcase what our research program is all about and how activities are progressing. Presentations from the #IndoBeef team were given by #IndoBeef program and #PalmCow leader John Ackerman, Decyanto Soetopo, #PalmCow Palm production activity leader from @Puslit Bang Perkebunan, Risa Antari, #CropCow Animal Science Activity leader BCRI.
The IndoDairy project was also represented by Jack Hetherington and Dr Endang.
