Aside from photography, baking and cooking is my passion...
and here is one of my creation! Curried Calamari, Indian Style!
I grew up tasting and cooking Indian food. My dad taught me how to prepare
these dishes using lot of spices. But this dish is my own version.
Change some ingredients and just used 3 kinds of spices for it not to be
extremely hot, just a mild crisp that kicks the heat! Not everyone
loves spicy food, though is not very authentic anymore,me and my
husband enjoys it.
“The smell of good baking, like the sound of lightly flowing water,
is indescribable in its evocation of innocence and delight.”

Personality Paradox - Part V
“It's hard to pay attention and stay focused, especially when there is a lot going on around you.”

Blah.
My bra wasn't actually black here - it was light pink... but it didn't look like I was wearing one so I had to change the color LOL.
I suppose the composition of this picture is relevant to the trait in subject... I mean, people sit like this when they meditate don't they? That has to do with Focus... but, obviously the picture is out of focus, so that's where the paradox comes into play.
Not to toot my own horn...
but look how freaking awesome I look!
I love losing weight! :D
Weeeee, I like this one!!

Found a fun little park in Saline today while looking for geocaches. I love little bridges.
And now, Finally.....Here it is - the cover image for Alicia Grant's new album 'Moon Over Mars'. Take a listen to her CD on iTunes or Amazon.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to shoot her and for my work to adorn her new CD. What a thrill it is to see your work in public. She found me right here on Flickr! Out of the 7 million or so images uploaded a day, she found me and I couldn't be more happy. Thanks Alicia!

sorry for being so absent, but life got in the way and I also got a strep throat. Fun times. This picture was taken before I fell of the grid, when we were attending an Indian wedding. I wanted to fit in :)

Strobist: SB-900 as key, camera left through 28" Apollo softbox. LP160 as kicker, camera right with 1/8" grid. Red light is from a street lamp in the background. Image purposely exposed (ISO bump) to utilize the dynamic of the mixed lighting.
First time I've touched a digital camera in over a month. Glad I still know how to use it. ;-)
Believe it or not, the buildings on the picture are grave tombs. In Kazakhstan it's fairly normal to make a small 'house' for the deceased. This one in particular was pretty amazing to witness, some of the tombs reminded me of Buddhist temples in India.
