Photograph from the New Mexico badlands.

This big Elephant performed the incredible act using his trunk to grab the juicy leaves. This unusual behaviour has rarely been photographed. (Satara, Kruger National Park, RSA)

Ball-Dahlie Martina…

"Martina" ist unglaublich schön mit ihren leuchtend weißen Blütenblättern, die an ihren Spitzen mit sanftem Lila-Rosa gebürstet sind und die perfekte Form der Blüten hervorheben.

Ball Dahlia Martina...

"Martina" is incredibly beautiful with her bright white petals, which are brushed at their tips with soft purple-pink, and highlight the perfect shape of the flowers.

Let's face it now, it isn't everyday we see a genuine example of anti gravity anywhere let alone in agarden is it now? Yet here we have it along with the evidence, and not just any garden - it's in our garden! I know, it's incredible, but its not for sale so don't even go there.

The only other example I can think of is those UFO things that keep turning up on people's phones, but as folks don't believe in those, that makes this little baby unique does it not.

I'll tell you something else, it's totally silent, doesn't make a sound and you can pass your hands all around and underneath it like one of those stage magicians - it doesn't seem to mind. Nor, does it limit itself to any one flowerbed, oh no it moves with it's whims not just the sun, hot border in the morning, vegetable patch in the afternoon - it even followed me into the house one day!

A couple of days after taking this very photo, my wife and I had to pop to the garden centre (we were looking for something inter dimensional) and this little baby kept pace with us for an entire kilometre. It was only as we turned out of our road and my wife put the pedal to the metal that we thought we had lost it - I say 'thought' because when we pulled into the car park at the garden centre about 10 miles away there it was! I don't think anyone else saw it for it was hovering about 50 feet in the air directly over the compost bags, as it did so it slowly rotated and as the sun caught its petals it appeared to change colour - just like one of those bona fide UFOs that don't exist, and when we got home an hour later, there it was, sunning itself next to the garlic. I know, I know, it's incredible, but it isn't for sale so don't even go there....

An incredibly 'rare find' macro. 4 different forms of lichen growing within 25 centimetres of each other.

Incredibly blessed to enjoy this Milestone. My Heartfelt thanks go out to all of you ♥ Your likes and Comments are truly Appreciated. #Thankyou 💖💋

Incredible sky reflections over the pond. On the background mount St Clair and the city of Sète

I went back to take pictures of the ice sculptures during night time. It sure looks better with all the lights in the background.

"A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety." - Ansel Adams

I don't normally get up early enough to catch sunrises. Glad I did this morning! My pups were happy too!

The magnificent hummingbird is larger than some of the other species but certainly not the largest. What is a challenge is to capture his beauty because if the light is not hitting him straight on you would never see these amazing colors. I have been photographing them for years and this is probably the one that best shows off his beauty !! I truly love him and the white around the eye is one of his distinguishing features !!

Wishing you a great evening and a very blessed one !!!!!!

Saw a Buzzard flying much lower than usual at Attenborough Nature Reserve, Nottingham. Quickly it came down and rested on a post. I watched it for a while and took shots of it on the post and also flying off and back onto it. An incredible few moments being much closer to one of these beauties than ever before!

It was an incredibly beautiful fall day. I went to a park in the hills where I felt safe by the environment which face it is almost a rarity in the city . Never thought I would have multiple spine fractures and live the "disabled life." It may have slowed me down and a few things are no longer attainable physically that I want to do-but I load up my mule (its what I call my walker) which has a seat and a bag attached for even more storage and I shuffle along and spy and take pictures. My camera fits nicely under the seat. I meet some very interesting people most of which are walking dogs and I can tell by the dogs appearance and especially its energy it is a rescue. I break the ice by saying that is a gorgeous dog rescues are the best. They are always surprised and happy to talk about their much loved pet that is enjoying the beautiful scenery as much as their owners.

The view from the hidden lake overlook is incredible. One of the best views in all of glacier, Only able to walk to the overlook, second part of the trial after the overlook is steeper, trail to the lake “must take bear spray” due to bear activity, forgot to take it, could not go further. View of the lake was amazing and definitely worth the hike.

Lake Landro 20210922

Lake Landro in Val Pusteria is located in Val di Landro at about 1,400 m above sea level, not far from Lake Dobbiaco, and can be reached from both Dobbiaco and Cortina d'Ampezzo.

From Lake Landro, on the border between the Tre Cime di Lavaredo Nature Park and the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park, you can enjoy an incredible view of the Cristallo group, which is wonderfully reflected in the lake, especially in the morning.

It is no coincidence that this incredibly beautiful, fragrant and useful plant is called a wild rose. A close relative of the most beautiful flower on earth, the rose hip also has thorns, but is also rich in vitamin C and other useful microelements.

The name “rose hips” is used for wild or unmodified rose species. In Russia today there are up to 100 species of rose hips, and not all of them are equally useful, so some of them are used for decorative purposes. Under natural conditions, wild roses grow on mountain slopes, in river valleys, and in fields there are several dozen varieties of the plant. Unpretentious and cold-resistant ornamental rose hips can often be seen as hedges in country houses. Certain types of wild rose are used to make jam, jam and candied fruits.

The healing properties of rose hips have been known since ancient times. Almost all parts of rose hips are used for medicinal and preventive purposes, but the fruits are considered the most useful. This is explained by the high content of vitamin C in them; its concentration here is higher than in black currants and lemon. Wild rose fruits also boast a variety of biologically active substances.

The most popular among medicinal types of rose hips is traditionally considered to be May rose hips. The fruits of needle, Dahur, Kokand, small-flowered rose hips and some other plant species are also used for medicinal purposes.
