Street art on shop doors in downtown Nan.

What out, Prachuap! Dr. Banner has lost his cool! Marvel Comic characters are very popular in Thailand and Hulk is one of the more popular figures. This particular creation is located in front of a restaurant along the beach road at Ao Prachuap.

"The blues are because you're getting fat and maybe it's been raining too long, you're just sad that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of."

Iceland provides ground to norse mythology and life to folkloric tales and legends of what can not be. Yet witnessing these sanctuaries of natural beauty at times when the light is nothing short of magic, makes it all come alive. Imagine a Viking boat landing on a beach of volcanic black sand covered with crystalline ice formations only to behold his first auroral displays, at a time science had no answer to this phenomenon. What would you think, what would you do?

According to Norse mythology, auroras are caused by light reflecting off the shields of virgin warriors, the Valkiries. For others, auroras represented a Dance of the Spirits. The name itself is that of a Roman goddess. Even if modern science can today explain this phenomenon, beholding it remains supernatural. I much prefer the pagan representation.

In Prima Borealis, I had some questions. During my last trip to Iceland, I had the benefit of moonlight and stronger auroral activity and that does change photography quite dramatically. So here is a first result of my second shooting of aurora, with some compositional effort.

Please take the time to leave a comment, an impression, a thought, always appreciated.

The Hulk was so angry that he flipped on to his head!

So I needed to empty out my box of Marvel Legends tonight. I needed to get pictures of Iron Fist, Sasquatch and Maestro. Most of these were at the bottom.

I don't just tip the box out willy nilly and let them get bashed around, I carefully unpack it and stand the marvels up one by one.. these have been re-arranged slightly, but not to the stage where they are in a dramatic scene or shot. I was quite taken back at how many I have, this doesn't include the figures I have from the HML series or the Fantastic Four Box Set. See the Tags list for the figures or characters in this picture.

The angry face of Hulk, one of the Marvel Super Heroes. (Face is the size of a quarter)

Had fun lugging my stuff up here every day and slipping on the mud how many times, and dealing with rain, snow and sleet and falling through the floor, and hiding from but then having to deal with the locals -but I need to calm down...

...Woosah...

I'm getting angry...

...And you won't like me when I'm angry!

Hulk is still not happy about the revamped sugar content in Irn-Bru but I've explained to him that it's a good thing and I think he is starting to come around to the idea now...
