Dom Cobb est un voleur expérimenté – le meilleur qui soit dans l’art périlleux de l’extraction : sa spécialité consiste à s’approprier les secrets les plus précieux d’un individu, enfouis au plus profond de son subconscient, pendant qu’il rêve et que son esprit est particulièrement vulnérable. Très recherché pour ses talents dans l’univers trouble de l’espionnage industriel, Cobb est aussi devenu un fugitif traqué dans le monde entier qui a perdu tout ce qui lui est cher. Mais une ultime mission pourrait lui permettre de retrouver sa vie d’avant – à condition qu’il puisse accomplir l’impossible : l’inception. Au lieu de subtiliser un rêve, Cobb et son équipe doivent faire l’inverse : implanter une idée dans l’esprit d’un individu. S’ils y parviennent, il pourrait s’agir du crime parfait. Et pourtant, aussi méthodiques et doués soient-ils, rien n’aurait pu préparer Cobb et ses partenaires à un ennemi redoutable qui semble avoir systématiquement un coup d’avance sur eux. Un ennemi dont seul Cobb aurait pu soupçonner l’existence.
Inception ou Origine au Québec et au Nouveau-Brunswick, est un thriller de science-fiction américano-britannique écrit, réalisé et produit par Christopher Nolan, sorti en 2010.
Il met en scène Ellen Page, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard et Leonardo DiCaprio. Celui-ci interprète un « extracteur », un voleur qui subtilise des informations sensibles dans un contexte d'espionnage industriel en infiltrant le subconscient de ses cibles au cours d'un « rêve partagé ». Alors qu'il est recherché par la police américaine, on lui offre une chance de retrouver son ancienne vie en échange d'un travail considéré comme impossible : l'« inception ». À l'inverse de l’extraction, il s'agit de l'implantation d'une idée étrangère dans le subconscient d'un sujet qui la considérera à son réveil comme étant l'une des siennes.
Sorti deux ans après le grand succès de The Dark Knight du même réalisateur, le film voit le jour grâce à la réputation de celui-ci : les sociétés de production Warner Bros. et Legendary Pictures lui octroient un budget de 160 millions de dollars, sans compter 100 millions dévolus à la promotion du film.
Inception reçoit un accueil positif, les critiques ayant salué particulièrement son originalité, son casting, sa musique et ses effets visuels. Il rapporte plus de 800 millions de dollars, le classant dans les quarante plus gros succès au box-office mondial. Le film remporte quatre Oscars, dont celui de la meilleure photographie, et il est nommé à ceux du meilleur film et du meilleur scénario original.

After the 2002 completion of Insomnia, Nolan presented to Warner Bros. a written 80-page treatment for a horror film envisioning "dream stealers," based on lucid dreaming. Deciding he needed more experience before tackling a production of this magnitude and complexity, Nolan shelved the project and instead worked on 2005's Batman Begins, 2006's The Prestige, and The Dark Knight in 2008. The treatment was revised over 6 months and was purchased by Warner in February 2009. Inception was filmed in six countries, beginning in Tokyo on June 19 and ending in Canada on November 22. Its official budget was US$160 million, split between Warner Bros and Legendary. Nolan's reputation and success with The Dark Knight helped secure the film's US$100 million in advertising expenditure.
Inception's premiere was held in London on July 8, 2010; it was released in both conventional and IMAX theaters beginning on July 16, 2010. Inception grossed over US$829 million worldwide, becoming the fourth highest-grossing film of 2010. Considered one of the best films of the 2010s,Inception received critical praise for its screenplay, direction, themes, visual effects, musical score, and ensemble cast.It won four Academy Awards (Best Cinematography, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Visual Effects) and was nominated for four more: Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Art Direction, and Best Original Score.

the park contains a "gift from South Korea to the people of San Antonio", in the form of a Korean pavilion similar in design to the Gwangju Democracy Bell, in Gwangju South Korea. The pavilion (which reflects the traditional Korean methods of construction) was designed to "facilitate business and cultural friendships" between the two cities of Gwangju, South Korea and San Antonio, TX, USA. The two cities are sister cities. Architects were Yu Chang Byung and Hong Hee Lee, and the Korean firm Namkwang Construction Co., have been involved with the $1.2 million project, since its inception. The City of Kwangju provided half of those funds, while Namkwang Construction Co. also contributed to the project.
