I stand before the palace of the Dagda, the house of Elcmar, and the resting place of the swan lovers Oengus and Caer. Alone with the monument, in the subdued and dank dawn, I speak to it. I ask it to tell me of its inception, its first imagining, in those banished days of prehistory.

I imagine that there must have been a dreamer – someone in the community who first envisioned these giant monuments, these enduring cairns of stone and earth and zeal and toil.

There was one man or woman who sat on this ridge, touching the earth but reaching upwards to distant spheres, who must have dreamed about uniting worlds. And like all grand projects, sparked by luminous imagination and aspiration, this had to be bigger and bolder than anything that had come before.

Here, Brug na Bóinne – the palaces of Bóinn –came into being, according to the dreamer’s visions. The huge cairns rose from the ground, like the belly and paps of the goddess, symbolic of the expectant earth, swollen with anticipation. And the sun entered inside, and copulated with the earth, in order for the earth to deliver the fruits of a sacred union.

Seeing the sun shining its golden winter light in the deep chamber of the earth-mound, I wonder what ecstasy the dreamer felt, at that first magnificent dawn in Síd in Broga long ago. Perhaps it is the same ecstasy that almost everyone in the modern era who witnesses the solstice sun in Newgrange feels.

Alone at Síd in Broga, at dawn, I touch its stones and it whispers to me.

“The dreamer lives.”

Akira as Arthur.

I'm a big fan of both the movie Inception and JGL, so of course Akira had to be Arthur. Kiyoshi and Midori lend their legs as Saito and Ariadne. And yes, I know things aren't to scale, so don't laugh. ;D Besides, I wanted to give my darling boy some long overdue love and attention.

Icelandic clouds are the most photogenic.

Trapped in a dream within a dream.....within a dream, little froggy marches forward in the infinite pretzel that is the universe. Will he break free of duality? Will he master light and shadows? Will he just jump off this saw palmetto and get it over with? Only time ....will tell....

This building was used in a lot of the scenes for the movie "Inception" so I thought I'd do my take on it.

The BMW R1200C was a cruiser motorcycle manufactured by BMW Motorrad from 1997 to 2004. BMW manufactured 40,218 units, including a smaller engine version, the R850C, which was produced from 1997 to 2000.

The R1200C was BMW's attempt to tap into this market, and was a significant departure from their previous endeavors. The R1200C was designed by BMW head designer David Robb, featuring a cruiser riding posture. From its inception, the R1200C featured a passenger seat that could fold up to become a driver backrest with three different angles, adjustable while riding.

BMW first released the R1200C with an advance promotional placement of the motorcycle in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. The R1200C was one of four BMW motorcycles featured in The Art of the Motorcycle exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City in 1998.

When BMW ended production of the R1200C lineup, Dr. Herbert Diess, then President BMW Motorrad, cited a prime reason for discontinuing the bike was the apparent unsuitability of the 1,170 cc (71 cu in), 61 hp (45 kW) engine to then current market tastes and the unavailability of a suitable engine for further development, but did not rule out BMW pursuing a reinterpretation of the cruiser idea at a later date. In 2004 a final special model of the R1200C Montauk as a commemorative Montauk model was presented, of which 350 units were built.

R1200C in film

The R1200C features in the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. Michelle Yeoh, in her role as Chinese spy Wai Lin, rode the bike in the scene where she and 007 run from Elliot Carver's henchmen, who are chasing them in a helicopter. In 2012, the bike was later featured in the Bond in Motion. 50 Vehicles. 50 Years exhibition at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, England.

In the 2002 Mike Myers film, Austin Powers in Goldmember, the opening scene presents a parody of the Austin Powers genre with the R1200C being featured in a high-speed chase starring Tom Cruise and Gwyneth Paltrow.

This is a custom Lego vignette based on a poster for the 2010 film Inception, directed by Christopher Nolan. I spent a lot of time making sure that the minifigs looked like the movie characters.
