Ron and Teddy...(these guys ARE Sheep Mesa Outfitters. Ron is a fourth generation Packer and Teddy is his oldest best friend) Perhaps not the best outfitters to ever set a pack or jerk a hitch or snake a pack string... but i'll lay you odds they are up there circling around there in the top ten.... They are still out there ridin the backcountry trails in summer and fall... Trails made by the likes of Bridger, and Colter, and my great grand pappy ... This is a glimpse of them returning a seven dayer in the Yellowstone.... This picture is courtesy of Ray Zaccard (flickr's linray473) and I titled it "Homeward Bound" as I guess one thinks of such things as we enter the Holiday season.... Happy Thanksgiving everyone... cbc
Note; anybody desiring a backcountry adventure of a lifetime... contact me and I'll get you intouch with Ron Good....

I was walking to University College when I saw this BMW 3-Series Coupe so I took few shots but I didn’t like any of them. As I walked away I looked back and it looked much better from this angle (even though that’s all I could see as it was surrounded by other cars) because the sun wasn’t facing the camera anymore so I took one more capture.
When I came home I decided to do something special for BMW because it has been my favourite car brand for many years now. So using Gimp I darkened the photo and blurred the car’s surroundings…to make it stand out. But what I really wanted to show is that very few cars still look this good when so little of them is showing.
(I am listening to Meditation from Thais by Massenet played by Sarah Chang, to help me write! Beautiful music.)
Back home when people wanted to buy a luxurious car they either bought a Benz or a high end Toyota. Some bought Cadillac or Volvo, and so on. But one day when I was going to visit my aunt’s house with my dad I saw a BMW, and something really drew me to it. I didn’t know anything about it at the time as it was not that known then (I was in my early teens). I mean it looks luxurious and tough, and amazingly well made but it was not boring! All luxury cars I had seen until then were all boring looking and they all tried to look the same to please customers’ tastes in cars and increase sales! But not this car! This car seemed like saying “I am good, and I know it. I am different, and I don’t care!”
That is my only memory of a BMW from back home. So when I came to Canada I realized I was not alone: there are many young men who love BMWs! Then I found out that it is actually Canada’s best selling luxury brand!
If you are a woman and don’t understand why men like cars, then this paragraph might be of help! You see, one day I went with my aunt and cousin to a very big mall in Detroit and she went into a shoes store just to “look around” and we waited outside. I looked at her through the glass window and she was trying on a very pretty pair of shoes, but she wasn’t walking in them! (How do you try shoes without walking in them! It is like test driving a car without driving it!) What she was doing is pretty much standing still and move one foot to the front of the other and look at her feet, and there was such a slight but delightful smile on her face! That’s when I realized sometimes women don’t buy shoes because they make the most sense--comfortable, warm, etc.--hey buy them because they feel beautiful in those shoes! They want to look and feel like a princess! And it hit me that men also don’t necessary buy the cars that makes more sense—meets their needs, fuel efficient, reliable, etc—they buy the cars that make them feel more of a man, that makes them feel like they are kings! And to me, no car makes a man feel this way better than BMW does!
So in summary: men view shoes as “those things that take you from point A to B!” Women view cars as “those things that take you from point A to B!” Hehe! May not apply to everyone though!
The reason I like BMWs because I simply love their designs. I like car that look like a piece of art…a piece of intertwined metal body parts and lines with tough looks, yet composed presence…well, a BMW!
You see there is a fine balance between looking really good and looking silly! If you are a woman, imagine your favourite high heel shoes with pink polka dots! Exactly! Well, it is the same with cars. Very few car companies have mastered the art that blends luxury, design/image, technology, quality, functionality and performance! And to me BMW is on top of the list when it comes to meeting all those objectives!
It is important however not to be obsessed (carried away) with our affection to anything in such a way that it takes God’s place in our lives. I remembered a couple years ago I used to have to get a new BMW desktop background on the computer at work every morning before work! Gradually I started feeling uneasy in my spirit because of this, especially since I did it right before my InTouch daily devotional and I usually didn’t want to read it anymore afterwards! So I had to be more careful to understand and draw the line between a healthy admiration of something, and making an idol out of it.
Also a few years ago, when I was legalistic in my relationship with God, I tried to “act” as if I didn’t like BMW! Or at least hated the fact that I did! Well, this is not something God disapproves of. He has given us talents and interests for His glory and our enjoyment. I’ve always enjoyed designing things so BMW’s designs naturally hold an interest for me.
I know that I am a Prince in my my Heavenly Father’s kingdom. I know that I am valuable and loved. I know that I am who I am because of who I am in Him. My identity is wrapped up in His identity. I belong to Him. Everything I am is because of who He is and Has done. Before I had this deep understanding of who I am in Christ I naturally associated my worth with things, including cars such as BMW. But now I enjoy car designs with peace knowing that they are nothing more or less to me than art. Many things God does not necessary wants us to get rid of (such as work, wife, money, family!), but to balance them so that we can enjoy them as we enjoy Him first, rather than be mastered by them and miss on the joy of putting Him first.
I am not sure I will ever buy a BMW because they are expensive and I don’t feel comfortable spending that amount of money on a car. But may be I will buy a used one :) By the time I graduate and get a job I might buy the BMW M3 Sedan (a fav. of mine: www.zcars.com.au/images/2008-bmw-m3-sedan31.JPG), if it is according to God’s will :)
I don’t like how some people automatically have negative ideas about BMW drivers :( Wait until I get my BMW then I will show them! LOL! Just kidding! I threw that in for the fun of it :D
Ok, so I have seen my share of videos showing BMW drivers doing careless things! Actually, one day I saw on the street a BMW driver following a police car very closely and honking the horn at it because the cop was driving slowly (aka within speed limit!) So the BMW driver changed lines quickly without signalling, sped up and changed lanes again to be in front of the police car, slowed down and stopped to make a left turn! Hmmm…ok so there might be some true about BMW drivers “think they own the road”, but not every one is! Some just love the car, and have no intentions of giving anybody a hard time whether driving or not :)
So I hope you like the photo :)
PS: I hope BMW won't be upset for using their logo without permission! But they should actually be happy for doing free commericals for their cars :s

And I don't know why. He's is SO not my type. And where others just can't stand him. I stand him BIG TOME and drool. I am SO ashamed.

Have you ever dealt with a bunch of defective products and packages when you’re trying to have all of the packages move down a packaging line?
This is probably a common irritation, and defective products cause a lot of issues.
It can make you want to outsource packaging fully, or maybe you want to put it with another supply chain. This is an option, since it allows you to focus on the capabilities of your service too.
Contract packaging is a great opportunity to fix this issue. That’s because, they can reduce defective products, so you’re not dealing with trying to chase up defective packages while dealing with everything else that goes into running a company.
Contract packaging is helpful since it gets rid of defects, and also gives you customers that are happier.
What Defects do to Manufacturing
If you’re running your own plant, then you KNOW the issue of defective products.
Defects aren’t just your product is improperly packaged. You could have bar codes that are duds, the printing might get blurred, there is information that’s not right, leaks, bad foil cuts that result in issues with how the cardboard boxes, and even the seals can get messed up.
If you’re doing all of the packaging on your own, you might not know WHY the product is defective. And then you spend all your time trying to hunt for the cause instead of doing the marketing and other tidbits.
Defects also cost time, products, materials, and in many cases, money. It’s also a source of frustration, since you’re losing a lot of these resources to that in general, which in turn causes a wealth of different issues as well.
Contract packaging is simple, improves the wellness of your life, and the contract packaging deals with all of the extra stuff so they can handle it BEFORE it gets to the customer. They then can give you details on the defects, along with quick solutions for every problem.
How Much Does Defective Packaging Cost?
The thing is, defective packaging doesn’t have a set price tag.
The costs are in the form of the labor used to fix this, the money put in to fix it, and any materials and products.
However, the problem with defects is that they’re not easy to find. This is especially true if you have multiple lines of packaging, so you’re bleeding resources, and of course they’re remedied.
When you can identify this quickly, it will fix it. If you do contracting, you won’t have to do it yourself. It could be cheaper just to have another company train the machinery, re-work and fix any repairs, and of course any proper adjustments.
They can do this, and it can cost you a lot of money.
Contract Packaging Is Essential for Success
Contract packaging will be the first contact point in #packaging, so if they notice something, they can fix it immediately.
They will talk to the facility that does the manufacturing, and then solve the issue for you. This is quicker than you doing it on your own. It creates the liaison between your customers and your company as well, so people will want to continue to use you.
They also can identify whenever a #product slips through the cracks, properly inspecting it.
If you want to create a beautiful, worthwhile product, having a contract packaging company will save you so much time and resources, allowing you to truly avail yourself of all of the amazing things you can do to really make your #product stand out and shine.

This started as a macro shot of an icicle and when editing it, this appeared. It's like a view of Earth from space, an Earth not as we know it, an early Earth, one formed at the beginning by the Word who later became a child born of a Virgin in Bethlehem.
The following verses were spoken by John, the Baptist, who was a cousin of Jesus and was born before Him. God had revealed to John the true nature of Jesus~fully Divine and fully human.
John 1:1-17
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. My wife works at Intouch Solutions and they needed a place to shoot a video for one of their clients. They were at our house most of the day Friday. I was gone most of the week, but got home to see them wrapping up the inside and getting ready for the outside shots. They did some test shots early in the week while I was there and I mentioned I had the 85 1.2 from Canon. I let them use it for the day. They seemed to enjoy the lens very much. They were shooting all the video from a 5D Mark II and some from a 7D. This is the set-up with my lens attached.
