A Wood Duck. Not a flattering name for the most colourful North American duck who is closely related to the East Asian Mandarin duck considered to be the world’s most colourful. This is my first sighting of one (a lifer for me). I had to be quick and after one click he was gone. Happy with my results considering I am adjusting to my new lens at the same time.

I would prefer the blurred branches above the duck not be in the shot but my attempts to remove them were unsuccessful so I left them as imperfections.

but still perfectly beautiful...

The frayed end of the bookmark was initially intended as an imperfect motive. On the screen of the camera, I have not seen the single, almost dropping hair. It was not until the development of the photo on the computer that I noticed it - a nice surprise

Das ausgefranste Ende des Lesezeichens war zunächst als unperfektes Motiv gedacht. Auf der Mattscheibe der Kamera habe ich das einzelne, fast schon herausfallende Haar nicht gesehen. Erst bei der Entwicklung des Fotos am Computer habe ich es bemerkt – eine schöne Überraschung.

Macro Mondays March 12th theme: imperfection

Slightly chipped crystal.... and dirty window (Well... the weather has been bad!).

This crystal rotates in the window using a small solar motor. It sends rainbow patterns round the room when the sun shines. I take burst shots to try to catch the most colourful!

I then use Lightroom processing to enhance any colour found.

WoW! Front page already, Thank you all!!!

Might not be the prettiest flower bunch out there,but hey, nobody is perfect...in fact, it is our imperfections that makes us who we are...

Been outdoors for some shooting and found this imperfetcion besides the trail. Humans are far away from being perfect. And of course we can see this imperfection in mother nature if we walk around with open eyes for the sphere that surounds us anytime.
