The Eagle EDS facilities meet the highest level of Human Rights detention housing while being processed into the U.S. The facility offers climate comfort, security and personal hygiene while waiting to comply with our legal and international obligations. The EDS system can be moved to accommodate other national regions of immigration detentions. We must be prepared for traditional, seasonal increases in illegal migration. These facilities will provide invaluable surge capacity should apprehensions of adults with children once again surge.

More than 150 people holding signs and candles attended a vigil, organized by Centro Presente, at the Massachusetts State House to protest the arrest of 121 immigrants last weekend, primarily in Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina, targeting a specific group of adults and children from Central America who arrived illegally after May 1, 2014, and had been ordered deported by an immigration judge. Although nobody has been detained in New England advocates are planning forums to educate immigrants about their rights in case of a raid.
