Brockington students begin fundraising for Kenya project

Students at Brockington College have begun a fund raising project to take 20 students to Mtwapa, Kenya.
The team of 20 students, aged between 14yrs and 16yrs will be working at 2 schools, Mtwapa Academy School and Sagail Primary and Nursery School, helping to build safer and cleaner classrooms. They will also be teaching classes and learning about life in Kenya. The group plan to travel to Kenya around March 2012.
The tall white bldg. is Hampshire House (Caughey & Evans) 1931, #150 Central Park South,next to it is Essex House (Frank Grad) 1930, #160 and next to it is the New York Athletic Club (York and Sawyer) 1929. Next to it was the Navarro Apartments

Families, friends and colleagues welcomed home 50 Soldiers with the 1057th Military Police Company (Team One) from their nearly 10-month overseas deployment to the Middle East during a brief ceremony at the Weborg 21 Centre in Gering, Nebraska, Aug. 22, 2022. The Soldiers were met with signs, smiles and hugs as they got off the bus before attending the ceremony. Team One of the 1057th Military Police Company was deployed to Kuwait and was recently replaced by the other half of the unit. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Cpt. Nathan Reicks)
