A microscope view, of the solder side of the JM215A PCB, as it is being modified.

The cut is inspected here, to make sure that there are no bits of copper remaining that might bridge the gap. In addition to a visual inspection, a continuity test is performed between FDC pin 2 and FPC pin 11, to assure that there is no longer any electrical connection between the two.

A larger section of the trace has been scraped clean, in order to expose it for soldering the small section of AWG 30 wire between it and FPC pin 13.
