Strange new feeling: I just earned my first money for a photo (not this one, by the way) although none of my photos have ever been on sale... Funny things happen in Flickr... :-)
Arrr!
I can only afford a toy car, but I have imagination and creativity where vehicles can not reach.
And, your sweetness is the fuel for me.
( At Ally's front yard, Manchester)
I am so excited! I went out a bit ago to these fields near my house. My dad drove me around with my mom so I could take photos. They waited for me in the car while I walked around among the fields. Did I mention I have the best parents on the face of the Earth?!
And here is the best part; I had no panic attacks. NO panic attacks! I am stoked. I had been wanting to go around these fields for some time now, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. So today I asked my dad if he could take me and he said yes immediately. I still can't believe it. I know it sounds ridiculous to the average person, but I've been basically chained to my house for the past two years after my brother died. So I'm excited to have had a good day out.
The only small downsize is that we went to these park, and there was more people than I expected. So I started to feel anxious. Oh and I hit my head when I was trying to open this thing in the car. :-/
But I am happy today. :D
Not the sharpest because shot through our window. We haven't found the bird blind, and the minute I stepped out of the house, poof. They all flew off, which is good. We don't want to have them grow used to us. It is hunting season around here ;(
These ducks have such stunning coloration. We have new impromptu ponds in the back forty now. And apparently something to eat.

It's a fab day today ... but will tell you more tomorrow! :)
I'm going to movies today ... The hangover ... I need a good laugh! :)
Please no large glittery graphics, photos or big group invites in your comments!
Explored ... #89! :)
I was shocked when I saw this. I love it, but I think it might be just me. I didn't know I was accidentally double exposing this slide film, but I did cross-process on purpose!

this is actually a different field than the one from the last "field of flowers" shoot i've been posting. go figure. haha i'm like half an hour from west virginia so there are a lot of mystery fields around here...
the location isn't the one i had originally intended, but it was on the way and i was just like "holy... what the okay nevermind." haha. this is on top of a hill (yes, i hiked up it, and i was so sweaty and exhausted by the time i got to the top) that overlooks a field of really pretty coneflowers... so i'll have to hit that next time i'm feeling princess-of-nature-y. =p
today was... good. i didn't do much, but, you know, when i started this whole not-boyfriend thing i said to myself, "i know i'll miss him when it ends, but it's better than missing my last boyfriend..." and i was right, really. so i guess it all turned out well in the end, because this whole hurting thing isn't really that painful. i'm fine. it's a little unfortunate because if he'd been willing to give it a shot, i would've totally been on board (which was a surprise to me), but i didn't really expect him to do a 180 so ... no big deal. i gave him a lot of chances, even up to the day it ended. not my loss!
also, i have lots of pretty flowers around me, and i feel good about myself. i don't really know what else i need.

--------------------------

Meet my new friend :)
I bought a new camera today. It's NIKON D90 + SIGMA AF 17-70 DC Macro OS HSM.
And I'm already absolutely in love with it. Much better then my old Nikon D60, but heavier as well :)
Those days when...
You’ll rather lock yourself in your room and tune out the world.
Be consumed by your emptiness and wish to be nonexistent.
You get easily bruised; live with them for awhile and feel completely torn the next day.
Isn’t it grand that you will get out of your way for absolutely anyone, to make them thrilled with life and no one will ever do the same for you because they think you are perfectly fine???
I’m not!!!;(
Bottom line:
I’ll take a breather; maybe a day or two or perhaps a week, until I feel whole again.
Happy Cliche Saturday ... eyes, animals, macro, bokeh, reflections, what more could a cliche shot need?
I spent a day with some friends and their horses today .. I was in my element ♥
This is Doodles, she is also a rescue with wonderful home and is spoilt and loved by her owner. Doodles (bless her) was headed for the meat lorry when she was saved!!
Because of my back problems I wondered if I would ever manage to get on a horse again. But horses have always been a part of my life and I missed being around them. Yesterday was my birthday and when hubby said to me what would you like .. my reply was “to be able to get back on a horse”. Today with a lot of patience (& pain relief) I got on for the first time in over 7 years and had a short walk …. I can’t tell you how good that felt! Off for a hot bath now to ease the aches, but it was SO worth it ♥ Yay!
