Yep, it's just that beautiful. The setting sun reflecting off the clouds at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, USA. As the light faded, the clouds out to sea were filled with flashes of lightening. Such a gorgeous evening walking the beach.

Sometimes the sky will just stop you in your tracks and you just have to take a photo. Often in North Carolina, the sunsets can be quite dramatic. Love those amazing clouds ! !
I love my clouds
it was a beautiful morning by the seafront but I didn't have my camera with me, so am going to rush back down there now and hope the light is still as beautiful
There was something about this cloud pattern that I wanted to capture. I am lucky to live in an area were the sky is the most magnificent blue.
what do you do when there's a storm?
I go to the beach
that's what I did yesterday
because I was sick of the inside of my house
why not?
It was beautiful out
as you can see
and this bird was cute, and showed no interest in me as I sat there watching it forever.
the waves were intense! but I'm dumb and don't have a picture of it haha. There were some crazy guys body surfing. I'm not that brave.
this is my first diptych attempt
I don't really know if there should be a space between the images or whatever.
I thought I'd mix things up and post something other than medium format shots or shots of attractive people hehe :]

To see the difference in the sky just a few minutes after the sun sets:
The sky was amazing as I was driving home from friends house a few weeks ago. I snapped this photo out of the window of my car as I was crossing over Lake Jordan. This photo was practically SOOC with just a bit of a crop.
This time of year the temperature in North Carolina can get very hot and humid, but that creates some amazing clouds. And I love beautiful clouds ! !

I love clouds, both the real one and the one in reflection.

Happy Thursday my friends!
This really does need to be viewed large to fully appreciate it; farm5.static.flickr.com/4115/4825602484_fb65f79b3a_b.jpg
I was so pleased when I saw this cloud cover move over the canyon. One could come here for days and not get this kind of character in the sky. Thank you to the Bryce Canyon gods for bringing this on for me :)

The Festival of Lights in Lyon - France - expresses gratitude toward Mary, mother of Jesus on December 8 of each year.
This uniquely Lyonnaise tradition dictates that every house place candles along the outsides of all the windows to produce a spectacular effect throughout the streets.
With over 4 million tourists comming to Lyon for this event, the festival includes other activities based on light and usually lasts 4 days, with the peak of activity occurring on the 8th.
The two main focal points of activity are typically the Basilica of Fourvière which is lit up in different colours, and the Place des Terreaux, which hosts a different light show each year.

Photographing bridges as a theme for a couple of days, here is Strömbron seen from Strömparterren in Stockholm.
The tops of Vancouver's tallest buildings are poking through the clouds and fog. Fog has covered the city more often this year.
Driving to Barhaven this afternoon, the sky was covered in fabulous cloud formations, I
couldn't resist taking a few shots of them. You could see the tops of corn silks from
the cornfields all across the bottom of this pic! Forgot to mention I love clouds,
always ever-changing, it's the artist in me I guess =)
Like it happens so often....the sky looked amazing last Saturday evening. Fortunately, had the cam with me...stopped the car to click away.

Such beautiful puffy clouds! Used my iPhone - wish I had my camera. It was almost as though I could see into heaven
I don't expect anyone to comment on many of these... I am just updating my cloud collection set for 2009
Cloud set (mostly non lenticular.. they have their own sets!)
Magic outside my front door! A whale forming in the sky ...can you spot it among the clouds?
I love clouds, they always amaze me! (Best on black)

A photographer friend once told me, "The best camera you have is the one that's with you.". Well, on this early spring evening as I was finishing my walk at the Museum Park, the only phone I had was my smartphone and I snapped this beautiful sunset. Not the best resolution in low light, but I didn't want to miss capturing this amazing sky and light.
The building in silhouette on the right is the original North Carolina Museum of Art building (East building). The Museum Park provides 164 acres of hiking trails and beautiful sculptures throughout. We are so fortunate to have this amazing art museum and museum park available year around.
