The small village of Volpedo in Piedmont, Italy , during a day of storm, rain and thunders. The sun was breaking the clouds while illuminating some fields in the plains, the effect was this.
I wanted to capture this sun burst for quite a time. But mother nature always disappointed me. After more than 10 trips finally I was able to capture it. Hope you all liked it. If you have taken similar shots then please share with me.

I need a break from the cold and almost monochromatic winter pictures today. I have an urgent need for light, warmth and color.
So I go back to a sunrise in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains last early summer.
The sun, which has just risen, cuts the fog into strips and gradually begins to flood the shadows behind the mountains with warm light. A spectacle I can never get enough of.
And not only because it is an indescribably beautiful sight, but also because of the symbolic power it contains. No matter how impenetrable the darkness seems, the light will always triumph in the end. Because each of us carries this light within us and can carry it into the darkest corners.

Taken at the Festival of Illumination. The handcrafted Chinese Lanterns were amazing. So much detail and color.
The mountain above the cloud basks in the morning light, with its peak illuminated while the rest is cloaked in a play of light and shadow,

See on Black;
The serenity of the day, the stillness of the canal. The morning sunshine illuminating the moored boats under the canopy of the trees and casting it's shimmering reflections.
Love the light playing on top of the nettles between the trees as well as the spindly arms of the conifers outstretched as if welcoming the sun rays. Taken in Little Wittenham Wood, South Oxfordshire
Illuminations, 1-2-22
From a series revealing how light waves bounce into, on and through things as shown in the space between a curtain, window and a neighbor house’s wall.
ln "illuminations, 1-2-22",
light is reflecting off of my neighbor's kitchen window, my house is casting a shadow, the curtain mingles the colors of the reflected light, curtain and shadowed areas.
Northern class 150 unit 150104 (partnered with 150138) departs Blackpool South with the 3.16pm to Colne (2N78).
With a scheduled 4 minute turnaround at this terminus, there's barely time for the driver to walk from one end of the train to the other before setting off again. On this day the turnaround was even tighter seeing as arrival from Colne was 2 minutes late.
Blackpool South, with its single platform and evidence of former glories en route, is very much the Cinderella line into this popular northern seaside town. In fact a significant part of the remaining platform has been abandoned to nature, as seen in this shot. By contrast Blackpool North is vibrant, recently electrified, and boasts fast direct services to London Euston. No surprise It also handles the vast majority of passenger arrivals and departures.
I arrived into this station on a sunny Sunday afternoon and walked the two miles or so along the bracing, enjoyable and ever vibrant promenade before waltzing back inland to North Station for the rather faster ride back to Preston.
A bit of a record shot so I'm not expecting a ten from Len. Sure I spotted Madge though.....

This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday was Ultimate Gray & Illuminating which is/are Pantone's Color(s) of the Year for 2021. Not my favorite, but I can see why they made this choice.
As we put the sharp edges of 2020 behind us, there are still some lingering clouds going into 2021. On my first impression, this color combination always reminds me of the yolk of a hard-boiled egg. But the thing about hard-boiled eggs is they have the potential for us to make something good with them. So 2021 will just be what we make of it.
But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. Ephesians 5:13

HMMM!
“Be aware of wonder. Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.” - Robert Fulghum
Woodland and shafts of light, always a wonder to see and a joy to capture.
May I wish all of you a very merry festive holiday however you may celebrate it and give you thanks for all the views, faves and comments over the last year.

As the world slumbers in darkness, I set out to create a nocturnal photo, weaving luminescent trails with my trusty eBay LED quality light. With each carefully choreographed movement, a captivating signature emerges, illuminating the night with an ethereal glow. The long exposure captures the dance of light and darkness, crafting a mesmerizing painting that seems to defy the limits of time. Behold the magic of light painting, an art form that embraces the darkness to reveal its own signature of brilliance.
If you cannot understand what int the world is the background or this image, to put you into the perspective, on the left bottom part of the photo, you can see a Dalmatian boat moored to a cement dock.

Peace.
Just a reminder to everyone in the UK as to what the sunshine looks like.
Haven't a clue where this was taken....it might just have been Harlyn Bay, Cornwall.
