Juliet balcony in Verona (I'm not sure why EXIF file says that it is made with 18-105 f5.8 when this picture was made with 50mm at f1.4)
They's country. They're bears. And, they sing questionably appropriate folk songs. What more could you want from themed entertainment?

Yet another strange and senseless (to me) option for a wedding gown. a belt. Why on earth would one need a belt for a wedding gown?? Especially a belt that is a few hundred dollars!!? Truth be told, i really can't stand wearing a belt...mainly because i have always felt like i am built like a tree....no waist to speak of....just a long trunk...with long legs! The belt has always seemed rather pointless since it would not actually accentuate my waist...because i really don't think i even own one of those! (waists, i mean....i do have a few belts to keep my jeans from sliding off, because according to my daughters i do not have a butt either!)
These are all very pretty and make for some lovely bokeh....but i really just don't get the whole point!
OK...back to struggling with last weeks homework in CS5....which i have yet to finish, only to find that homework for this week is posted.....sigh.....i will peek at this weeks and if it is not going to cause me to go off the deep end, i may do that first. One has to be in the mindset of struggling and knowing it will be a struggle, in order to deal with it....i am not sure i am there tonight. If for some reason i suddenly am WIDE awake at 5 am tomorrow like i was today, perhaps i will begin to torment myself with it then.
hmbt everyone....smile, the weekend is coming!

Ha! I don't care what you think... this is the fucking best clone shot I have ever done. In my opinion at least.
My new camera came today!! (Nikon D80)
AND
My new lens came today!! (Nikon 50mm 1.8)
...i'm in camera heaven...
She donedid it! www.flickr.com/photos/masin_merlin/3257291089/ I don't know what to do now, though. I think I'm supposed to tag people? Problem is, I don't think I get 5 people at a time to even look!
So I've had this idea for a while, but I couldn't find our scale so I hadn't had a chance to take it. I might add another picture as my 365 for today, but for now, this is it.
I drove really far today which makes me really excited!!
If you look at the middle toe on my left foot, you can see why I don't like taking pictures of my feet. I was playing soccer barefoot in 2006 and my friend with shoes on kicked me. It was broken and off on a 90 degree angle, so that's as far as it got reset. But, for the point of this picture, I think it actually adds something.

Luc Tuymans: Signal 2001 Catalogue Spreads. Museum Für Gegenwart, Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin - Die Zeit -Parts 1-4 (1988) - Reinhard Heydrich (1988)
Die Zeit parts 1-3 Oil on Cardboard; Die Zeit part 4 Collage & Oil on Cardboard
From the book: I Don't Get It (published by Ludion, 2007)
Luc Tuymans' work is a vast repository of data, drawn from photography, television and film, combining a range of different styles and subject matter. His subjects range from major historical events, such as the Holocaust or the politics of the Belgian Congo, to the inconsequential and banal - wallpaper patterns, Christmas decorations, everyday objects There are also paintings which express abstract emotional states, titled 'Embitterment' or 'Insomnia', which imply existential or philosophical responses to the human condition.

This is the view looking up at the ceiling in the lobby of the Port Orleans Riverside resort in Orlando, FL. Several people were staring as I pointed my phone at the ceiling trying to get this shot.
A cool image of an overhead light that was in our hotel room at the Aria in Las Vegas over our honeymoon this last december. Very abstract and caught my eye right when I saw it.
The camera is sitting on the table, lens pointing straight up.

When I saw this on the counter at Rite Aid, I knew I had to have it, because (as readers of The Comics Curmudgeon know, this is not uncommon for Archie) I just couldn't parse the "joke".
My first thought was, "It's funny because Veronica expects Betty and Archie to share a chair, and she will sit across from them at the two-top."
But that made little sense.
Then I thought, "Oh! She doesn't know they're behind her. She's getting a table for herself and Archie, whom she presumes is arriving shortly, which he is, but he forgot that he had plans with Veronica, and is with Betty, and uh-oh."
Nah.
Then I surmised, "Oh! They're nervous because they couldn't get a table there without her help, and she's doing them a favor."
Veronica? Probably not.
Why is it funny? Is it funny? Where is Archie's left hand?
