The National Regal Pantheonβs status of the Monastery of Santa Cruz de Coimbra is presented by a crowned cross.
The iconographic representation of a columnβs capital, references the Old Cathedral of Coimbra as holder of the largest Romanesque capitals collection in Portugal.
The presentation of the IHS monogram, announces the Jesuit origin of the New Cathedral of Coimbra.
