During a visit to the Brems plant, Flink was intrigued by the stencil typography woodsmen use to mark their ‘lot’ of trees. Numbers, brands, destinations, all stencilled onto cut trees.
Flink searched for a font that reflected both the stencil way of marking wood and the aesthetics and designs of the Brems doors department. This way we ended up using Iwan Stencil. A font dating from 1929, by the hand of master typographer Jan Tshchichold, a post Bauhaus designer.
With the Bauhaus ethics in mind the rest of the identity just rolled out and had the exact look & feel we were looking for.

Yesterday was Bristol Doors Open Day 2007. As well as Clifton Lido (uploaded yesterday) I went into Redland Parish Church, a small Georgian church that was built as a private chapel for what was then a country estate outside Bristol.
The graphic strategy for the creation of all brands of Natura group, was the super-imposition of two symbols in search of a unique meaning for each of the four brands.
By designing symbols whose empty space means as much as the completed space, we wanted to reflect our clients more holistic approach to the thermal business.

Having in its genesis the desire to innovate through experimentation, Woodlab incorporated into its structure, a team entirely dedicated to the development of new wood-based materials and new technical solutions for the furniture industry.
The idea of a creative laboratory, moulded the morphology of the brand, our goal was to find through a comprehensive organisational process, the simplest way to express this particular idea, allowing the complex communication system to seem as clean and simple as it could be.
WIP for a series of shirts (most likely) that I'm doing here at work.
Referenced prince of persia's logotype (that they used on trailers). Hopefully once I get finished with it it'll look pretty cool. Pretty happy with the direction so far, but I know it still needs work.
