Isis Parenting was created to respond to the unique needs of expecting parents and new families. When Isis needed a new name (among other elements) that recognized the company’s support of expecting and new parents from pregnancy to pre-school, they turned to Corey McPherson Nash.
The goal was to build an inspirational brand synonymous with prepared parenting. We wanted to show a brand evolution that clearly allows the evaluation of new channels and markets with a solidified message. "James Cook é um snack bar de pratos típicos australianos que traz o espírito aventureiro de um verdadeiro aussie para o seu ambiente decorado ao mais perfeito estilo rústico. Seu público, formado na maioria por jovens entre 15 a 25 anos, desfruta por longas horas de seu ambiente e de seu diversificado cardápio culinário."
O logo possui o desenho do sol baseado nas pinturas dos aborígenes australianos. Seu nome, James Cook, origina-se do descobrir da Austrália e ainda consegue evidenciar o tipo de serviço prestado pelo snack bar. Sua tipografia é baseada nos bumerangues, o que reforça o caráter aventureiro do país.

During a visit to the Brems plant, Flink was intrigued by the stencil typography woodsmen use to mark their ‘lot’ of trees. Numbers, brands, destinations, all stencilled onto cut trees.
Flink searched for a font that reflected both the stencil way of marking wood and the aesthetics and designs of the Brems doors department. This way we ended up using Iwan Stencil. A font dating from 1929, by the hand of master typographer Jan Tshchichold, a post Bauhaus designer.
With the Bauhaus ethics in mind the rest of the identity just rolled out and had the exact look & feel we were looking for.
Experimented with carrying images over from the doors and individual panels so that each section was it's own image.

Today was Bristol Doors Open Day 2007. I visited the Clifton Lido, a Victorian open-air swimming pool in the heart of the city. It closed in 1990, fell into dereliction, and was nearly demolished for flats in 2003. It is now being renovated as a posh health club and restaurant, though there will apparently be some public swimming times.
